We stayed at the Oriental Jade twice - once in their Emerald room and once in the Gem Suite with Lake view. Both rooms were great and the facilities at the hotel are awesome from the rooftop pool to the amazing breakfast. The Emerald Room was very nice however they aren't kidding when they say there is no view - our window looked at a wall. The Suite was next level however. It was HUGE and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful all the time and it just felt like a real sanctuary in an incredibly busy city.

Excellent hotel and staff, however, roads are closed in the Old Quarter Fri-Sun evenings which cause issues for taxi rides.

Outstanding service from staff. Comfy mattress and pillows. Clean bathroom with excellent water pressure and temperature. Aircon works great. Recommend 100%

Generally good, great rooftop pool & bar & views but our room on the 2nd floor had issues 1 after the other, fire alarm went off for no reason, ceiling fan stopped working, aircon stopped working, de humidifier also stopped- so room was damp & smelt damp. Staff however fixed each issue as it arose promptly but would have preferred a room swap higher up!

I lived in Southern Vietnam for a year and frequently made trips up to Hanoi. I stayed at Royal palaceI every time. The staff makes you feel so welcome with smiles and friendly hellos. They are super nice and helpful. The hotel is located in the Old Quarter walking distance from most things. You can get a real feel for the city and the Old Quarter. This is a small hotel, and it isn't a 5 star hotel so don't expect it to be. But for the price, the service, the location, and everything else it is really unbeatable. Overall, Royal palace is a great stay don't miss the opportunity to meet the wonderful people who work there.
