Southeast Ireland Waterpark Holidays

This is an old hotel that is being updated. My room was completely modern as was the bath. Both the room and bath had opening windows! The location is great, about 7 minutes walk from the train station, 5 minutes to the bus station and 5-10 minutes to the city center. The only glitch I encountered was when I tried to take the stairs instead of the one elevator - that's when I discovered that not all of the hotel has been renovated yet. The pathway to use the stairs was a bit disjointed and involved two different sets of stairs that seemed to be from two different eras.

Great place to stay lovely restaurants, leisure center and the village is darling.

Very worth the visit time and time again!

Superb hotel on all counts. The breakfast buffet was truly memorable, with delicious blood sausages and bangers to go along with eggs and coffee in the morning. The bar area was friendly and convenient, as well as the hotel restaurant. The hotel is within walking distance (3-5 mins.) of the bus station that can take one to the Dublin Airport (Lufthansa canceled my direct flight from Frankfurt to Cork, so I had to fly to Dublin instead, wherein I took a 3:30 hr. bus to Cork). It is also within walking distance of the Grand Parade, a vibrant cultural and historical center where there are multiple restaurants, pubs, stores, and places to visit. If I return to Cork, I will return to this hotel again, for sure.

Scenery and staff were beyond excellent

An absolute gem of a place. Perfect location. Truly outstanding staff. Every single person working there was extremely polite, professional and charming. Fantastic bar and restaurant. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Our room was beautiful and having air conditioning was fantastic! We did book a room that was supposed to have a bidet, which it did not. We also had a room with a deep soaking tub, which is what we wanted since we were on our honeymoon. However, the drain stopper for the tub did not work so we had to "MacGyver" something in order to have the tub hold water. The water pressure in the tub was also not great, so between that and the water slowly draining out, it took about an hour to fill up the tub. By the time it was ready to use we were frustrated and it was late - put a pretty big damper on our night.
