Antigua and Barbuda Ski Holidays

The food was terrible daily. It was salty, undercooked, burnt and sometimes fresh without taste. Only some of the staff were helpful or had good customer service.

I loved this resort. Beautiful and charming atmosphere. Staff is excellent; so friendly and genuine. Food and drinks are top notch. Amenities, views and areas to lounge are abundant. Live music almost every night. Guests should be aware of a few things: There is only direct access to one beach, (Little Ffreys). And Little Ffreys, though beautiful doesn't have the soft sand that the other nearby beaches have. It has good snorkeling though. The beach to the north, Valley Church, is a 5 minute walk on the road leading to the resort. This isn't a problem really. You can also walk to the end of Little Ffreys, cross a small dirt path and you'll be at the next beach, Big Ffreys, which is beautiful! You can also kayak to the surrounding beaches or swim. They aren't that far away. The othe thing to know is this resort has a rustic, natural landscape which could be challening for less able-bodied guests. It is manageable though for most. There are canopy beds and a few plunge pools built into the cliff over the water. They are amazing and very rarely used. I think people don't realize they are even there next to the 2nd restuarant (which is operated by a 3rd party not affiliated with the resort). Don't miss this. It's a unique experience.

We had two rooms in the 100 block of the hotel for a 9 night all inclusive stay. Reading through the reviews and having made a decision to chose Blue Waters over Carlyle Bay, we were hoping to come away having had a relaxing time. While there are a lot of positives going for the hotel and staff, the shabby chic slightly run down room wasn’t a problem as the view over the beach was lovely, until we had a continual issue with hot water throughout our stay. Given the premium price, having to call reception every day with enough time before you wanted to shower so they could reset the boiler, let everything down. If the issue had been dealt with and monitored so we didn’t have to deal with the frustration of cold water in our rooms when we were ready for a hot shower at the end of a day on the beach, this review would have read very differently. Shame really.
