Stromboli Ski Holidays

It's a railway (ferrovia) hotel! But it's quiet, clean, reasonably priced and not a bad walk to town. Recommended.

This is a unique property which is somewhat isolated but about 20 minutes from Syracusa and we were able to get an Uber pretty easily. We had a rental car and went to Arenella Beach which was great experience which I feel was a real authentic Sicily lido experience. We paid 5 euro for the parking 25 euro for 2 chairs. They had a man making very good pizza and a restaurant with full bar to sit in (food court set up). The pool at the hotel is very nice and huge and heated. Our room had a hot tub which was really nice. The morning breakfast is a buffet but they will make you omelets, pancakes and eggs too! This is a very relaxing place but the rooms are not luxurious but clean and adequate. The staff was very helpful.

Staff were lovely, very welcoming. Apartment was clean, well maintained and as advertised. Breakfast was lovely. Only issue for us was the need to taxis due to a lack of public transport and the walk into town wasn’t very easy. That being said we travelled with 2 children, 8 and 10

Everything starts at check in and we found the staff indifferent. We were 15 min early for check in but said go upstairs and have lunch and it will be ready soon. 2 hours later we were still waiting. We could have gone out and enjoyed the town vs hanging around the hotel. We finally did leave since it was taking so long. The room itself was nothing special even for Italian standards. Never had coffee pods available unless I called for them daily. The pool area seemed ok but was always in the shade so we didn’t use it. It is in good location and 10 min walk to town. It was not inexpensive . Breakfast was not included in base rate.

This hotel was beautiful. Everything about it was five-star. We were greeted by the desk clerk who arranged for our luggage to be brought up. The rooms were great and access to Regusa Ilba was easy-breezy. 2 minute walk into the main square. Breakfast was very nice and the outdoor patio was very nice as well. We would highly recommend this hotel and Ragusa Ilba.

The room was comfortable as was the bed. The breakfast was wonderful with plenty of options and the view from the outdoor terrace was beautiful. We would stay here again.
