Really cool! Would def book this hotel again.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Taj to celebrate our engagement, and we were genuinely excited after hearing so many great recommendations. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of the five-star standard we expected. At check-in, we told the staff we had just gotten engaged, but there was no acknowledgment or effort to make the occasion special. They offered to make us a dinner reservation, but when we arrived, no reservation had been made. We also booked spa treatments, and my package included a complimentary glass of wine that I was never offered. Our room had several issues as well. The TV repeatedly shut off and the hairdryer stopped working. When we reported this, we were asked to prove it and had to show videos before the staff took us seriously. These may seem like small issues individually, but together they showed a clear lack of attention to detail. For a hotel at this price point, especially for such a special occasion, we expected much more thoughtful service. Unfortunately, we left feeling disappointed rather than celebrated. Three stars at best.

Property is in a good area and the lobby and room architecture are very nice. The condo has maintenance issues (Shower in master bath leaks extensively and the doors to the outdoors do not latch properly) and it does not have central heating.

The Hote's location is very good. Walking distance from some bars and restaurants. The room was very spacious and beautiful. There is however is problem with the water system of the hotel. We stayed in Room 808 and the sound of running water through the pipes were so loud, that they had to move us at 04:00 in the morning to another room, because we could not tolerate the sound anymore. We were moved to room 812. Although we could still hear the water running through the pipes, it was not as loud when you closed the bathroom door. The buffet breakfast was very good, but it would have been nice if the waiter informed us of the menu where we could also order from. I would stay there again just on a different floor.

Nice place

Great location. Great vibe. Great helpful and friendly staff. Sizeable rooms with views to Table Mountain and marina. Also quick and safe access to V/A marina area in evenings. Breakfast was amazing with selection of buffet and à la carte options.
