The hotel itself is beautifully designed—charming, intimate, and refined, striking that perfect balance between modern luxury and cozy warmth. It’s the kind of place where you can really relax and enjoy some peace away from the noise of the city. That said, the one small downside is its location. It’s not right in the heart of downtown Lisbon, so if you’re hoping to walk out and be immediately surrounded by shops and major landmarks, this might feel a little tucked away. But if you’re okay with a quick ride into the city center, the tranquility and high level of service more than make up for it. Overall, this hotel offered one of the best stays I’ve had in Lisbon. If you’re looking for a luxurious, peaceful, and well-run hotel with truly outstanding service, Wine & Books is a fantastic choice. I’d stay here again.

Property was great. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Only issue I had was I never got any email about the transport they do is to the hotel from the train station or airport. So on our last day found out that we had to pay to get to the airport. Other than that hotel and staff was great.

Comfortable hotel in a great location within easy walking distance to tourist sights, shops and restaurants. They also have live traditional music on Thursday evenings.

Very nice hotel with many dinning options nearby. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious and clean. It’s about a good 30 minute walk to the major attractions and the hot temperatures in June made for a few pit stops back to the hotel. All in all a pleasant experience.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the river and staff extremely welcoming and helpful The room was clean and bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good and worth doing. Majority of the places that we were visiting were not walkable so used Uber all the time and prices were very competitive. Didn’t use a taxi and were told to be careful and if we did to go by the meter and not agree a price - several people had said that they had been ripped off If you go to the Jerónimos Monastery we had to cue for over 45 minutes in the heat which seems to be the norm. Once inside there is no where to sit so be aware you could be along time on your feet For football fans the Benfica Stadium and museum tour is good but pitch was being relaid so couldn’t go on it. Sporting were undergoing renovation work so were unable to get inside the stadium - conclusion probably better to do the visit during the football season. One other thing to be aware of is the tic tic vehicles - we were warned off them and from what we saw was probably correct plus they are expensive

A great stay! Great and helpful staff and they cleaned every day. My only comment is to replace dirty towels--used ones on the floor were hung up again on the racks.

Our apartment was absolutely amazing and as stunning as the pictures. Perfect with our three year old who called it our 'home-tel,' Our flights were delayed on the way out, I was able to call through to reception who provided us with access to the property after reception hours with really clear instructions. We just loved it so much, will definitely be back.
