The hotel smells bad so the staff constantly sprays this air freshener around that smells like bug spray..the towels r frayed and have holes in them..my single room was very small and so was the shower..there is a big hole by the front steps that is dangerous..8 steps to get into the hotel..the breakfast was OK.

When we arrived, there was a light out in our room. It was fixed the next day but I really could have used it at night as it was the hallway light in front of the closet. The guest services person took an order for room service for the second morning as we had to leave before the breakfast opened. Instead of a blueberry muffin, I received blueberry pancakes. Instead of a small mango/yogurt parfait, I received a dish of some kind of yogurt and a dish of mangos. Needless to say, I did not eat breakfast. The best thing about the hotel was the location. We have stayed in and loved other Mandarin Orientals. This was not up to their standards.

I don’t even think this hotel is one star worthy to be honest. My boyfriend and I had an absolute nightmare experience at this place. The room was uncleaned, completely unhygienic and not sanitary as there was toenails and large amounts of dust everywhere. We left within 40 minutes and they refused to refund us for our 2 nights stay stating that ‘we used the room’ because my boyfriend took a shower as we were exh

My stay at the Amrâth was one of the most uncomfortable hotel experiences I've had. Despite the extreme weather, there was no air conditioning and no meaningful effort by the hotel to help guests cope with the heat. Even in the Executive Suite, the room felt unbearably hot, making it impossible to relax or sleep so i had to stay out for as long as possible.
The hotel itself is also very dated, with tired facilities and décor that do not reflect the standards expected of a premium hotel. For the price charged, the overall experience was poor and very disappointing. I would not choose to stay here again.

the hotel is lovely. nicely redone and the restaurants and food is very good.
the only issue and its important....the mattresses are incredibly hard. like sleeping
on a table. if you like a hard mattress....this is a good thing....if you like something more comfortable....this is not the place.
