Costa Alentejana Scuba Diving Holidays

I found a cockroach and another dead one. I message the host and received no response. There were also no coffee pods for the coffee machine but there was creamer. The pool was dirty when we arrived and had some sort of paper clogging the drain system. There were no towels for the kitchen. We ran out of toilet paper for one of the bathrooms. The door lock was difficult to operate.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were very accommodating in changing our room at check in (our original room was very dark directly facing a rundown building). The location is good if you need access to the tourist buses or high end shopping. Otherwise, it's about a 20 minute walk to Rua Augusta and Chiado. The carpet in the room had some stains in it from previous guests spilling coffee, and the bed was too soft for our liking, but the AC worked great and it was very comfortable temperature for sleeping.

We really enjoyed our stay at Marmòris Palace. The property is beautiful, the grounds are peaceful, and it really lets you experience the castle and palace atmosphere that makes Sintra so special. It feels like you’re staying in a historic estate rather than a typical hotel. If you’re expecting a true luxury hotel, this probably isn’t it. The rooms and amenities are comfortable, but the experience is more about the charm, history, and setting than five-star luxury. The staff was wonderful, breakfast was great, and the location made it easy to explore Sintra. We’d definitely stay here again.

Great stay! Comfy beds and clean room. Nice amenities, there was even a clothes steamer in the closet! Staff were amazing and very helpful. Thanks for a great stay!
