This is definitely not four stars facility. More like two and half. Our stay for one night was ok. Sheets were clean. Fridge was missing in the cabinet in our room.

Good location, friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and quiet rooms, best sleep in a week

The room with a queen bed we stayed in was by far the smallest hotel room we've ever stayed in. A bigger person would not have been able to fit between the foot of the bed and the opposite wall (where the TV is mounted), in order to move from the side of the room with the door and bathroom to the side with the desk and most readily accessible outlets. The place was clean, but our room was located on the "1st" floor, which is sub street level (and below the lobby) and smelled musty. The room itself actually smelled damp. We considered asking for a different room, but the schedule for the convention we were in town for was tight, so we just dealt with it for the hours we were in the room to sleep. The food at the restaurant is good, the staff is very polite, and I appreciate that they highlight the automatic gratuity on the check. I found it a little strange that, though they walk by the tables frequently, you essentially have to flag someone down to ask for the check, a to go box, etc. No one ever even stopped in to check on my meal or ask if I wanted water.

Amenities in the room were very nice quality, slippers, loofah, and toiletries. I was overcharged for car parking on check out when they asked if I had any extras. Hotel refunded it right away but my overseas bank took an extra procedure fee as a result of this misunderstanding. Room was a suite but the hallway between had no light. View was excellent.

Ali went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, securing us adjoining rooms and surprising us with complimentary cakes and treats upon our return from a day of sightseeing. The personalized touch of having our children’s names beautifully written on the dessert plates was a delightful gesture that made our trip extraordinarily special. The hotel itself was impeccable—clean, serene, and perfectly situated in the heart of the city. We couldn’t recommend The Willard more highly and look forward to returning. But Ali truly made the entire experience top notch!

The hotel is a one-minute walk from Dupont Circle station. I had not ridden the DC metro in 20+ years and Cortez the DOO walked me through the lines and stations with a map. Not only friendly but thoroughly knowledgeable of the area and helpful, 10/10 customer service. There is a stunning restaurant Casamara in the hotel which has a simple, well-executed menu. Again, customer service was outstanding in the restaurant. There is also a rooftop bar. Parking is valet. Control room service or even locking/unlocking your door with a private link to your mobile.
