Lost electric, no a/c and water for better part of a day, no notice to guests or est. for restoration. Had to pay for water. I was a repeat customer, mentioned at CK in, no recognition, offer for a drink or discount of any sort. Made reservation for dinner, was kept waiting for 50 minutes while others from the bar went ahead. No hotel pick up and delivery to airport. Overall very nice location, average staff, dated facilities .

The resort itself was super clean, the pools were fantastic, and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The main issue was the beach. They advertise this beautiful beach at the resort, but it is small and it was closed because it was covered with seaweed. According to the locals we spoke with, it is always covered with seaweed due to the location. You have to travel everyday to a different beach to be able to enjoy the ocean. Also, the resort is in a sketchy part of town and we were told not to be out on the road in front of the resort after dark. Thankfully, it is a gaited resort, so we did feel safe inside the facility.

The property itself was gorgeous, with an amazing view. The pond in the middle with ducks, lizards and chicken was pretty cool, and it takes a matter of seconds to get to the beach. But to get back to the shops is about $20 -24 per person, taxis don’t take into account groups. There were a few minor issues the pool wasn’t cleaned and had bugs floating on top, on the weekend it looked like the pool was drained of several feet of water, and had slime build up on the sides of the pool. There was limited choices for food in the immediate area 2 amazing restaurants (sea salt and Sudi’s) food was amazing. The two smaller bars are good. But the hours of operation are concerning the 2 bars were basically shut down by 8’ish the 2 restaurants close at 10. And a little seaweed build up in areas but nothing unexpected

Everything about the Ritz was nice. The staff are the best part of resort. Friendly and eager to help out. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be the bathrooms around the resort...With the exception of the bathroom at Alora, none of them are airconditioned. Without air-conditioning, it get hits real hot, and the smell isnt pleasant either.
