⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Value, Convenient Location, but Room for Improvement The Hellenia Yachting Hotel offers good value, especially if you’re driving and looking for a convenient base to explore Taormina and the surrounding area. There’s a convenience store and a great gelato shop nearby, although you’ll need to drive to reach the main beach area. The hotel has an impressive marble interior, though the decor is somewhat dated. My room was spacious with a comfortable bed, but cleanliness could have been better, and there was a faint odor. As mentioned in other reviews, the buzzer system allowing people in and out can be noisy. I slept fine with earplugs, but light sleepers may find it bothersome. Since I visited after beach season, the beach chairs had been removed, but I still enjoyed some sunshine on a lounge chair on the outdoor deck overlooking the ocean. Parking was convenient, although it was essentially a dirt lot, and I had to contact someone each time I entered or exited. Breakfast was good, not great, but convenient with a three-hour window each morning. The staff were helpful, though I’ve experienced friendlier service elsewhere in Sicily. Overall, a comfortable stay in a good location at a reasonable price. Improvements in cleanliness, noise, and facilities would help, but considering the value, I’m giving it a generous four stars.

Great location right in the center of Catania, only a 15-minute drive from the airport. All the main attractions and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

A warm welcome from the amazingly helpful Roberta. Upgraded to a suite - v comfortable, excellent bed, and once I turned off the intrusive a/c a good night's sleep. Great breakfast, excellent coffee. A wonderful location too -- right where you want to be, and excellenr, affordable restos nearby. Just 15-20 mins from airport and amazingly helpful, thoughtful front desk. Don't rush off from the airport - spend a couple of days here getting to know Catania first.

This is a unique property which is somewhat isolated but about 20 minutes from Syracusa and we were able to get an Uber pretty easily. We had a rental car and went to Arenella Beach which was great experience which I feel was a real authentic Sicily lido experience. We paid 5 euro for the parking 25 euro for 2 chairs. They had a man making very good pizza and a restaurant with full bar to sit in (food court set up). The pool at the hotel is very nice and huge and heated. Our room had a hot tub which was really nice. The morning breakfast is a buffet but they will make you omelets, pancakes and eggs too! This is a very relaxing place but the rooms are not luxurious but clean and adequate. The staff was very helpful.

The room was spacious and clean and we loved our balcony with the stunning view. It’s a walking distance to the city center and the cable car. Breakfast was very good. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. Great hotel, highly recommended!
