Nice little hotel centrally located near Myeandong. I wish it is closer to the train station and hv good varieties of food for breakfast.

Great location! The hotel is old. Really surprised to see that a bunch of garbage stuff has been piled inside the main entrance.

I was very happy to see that I could check in several hours earlier when I arrived. Was also given an hour later check out. Chose this hotel as it is near the airport did not expect all the wonderful restaurants, amenities of hotel and seaside restaurants. The room opened very nicely for a view of the ocean. When I arrive, the room was quite warm and I was told there’s no air conditioning at this time of the season to open my window and let the wind come in. it’s certainly helped. Night for sleeping with window open was very comfortable. I recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a beach experience in 20 minute ride to the terminal two airport. Receptionist was very kind accommodating spoke English very well.

Staff was great

Even though the building doesn't look old, there were issues. Shower drains were clogged on arrival. Water spilled over to the commode stall anytime someone uses the shower. Maintenance showed up to repair while we waited. It was frustrating as we were all tired and needed a hot shower. Everything in the room is in Korean language - washer, dryer, AC, microwave. A lot of guessing and Google Translate to get things working. The AC was either freezing or too hot. As for basic ameninites, shampoo, conditioner and body wash is provided in the shower. Hand soap and dishwashing detergent at the sinks. Nothing else, so make sure you pack what you need. Coffee provided is not drinkable - yuck! If you need the front desk to hold your bags, they won't. I was told it's hotel policy. This is the only hotel I've ever stayed at that won't hold your bags for a few hours. They have luggage cubbies for rent. Each cubby only fits one bag. The cost to rent the cubbies start to add up if you have more than a few bags.

Front desk and Restaurant staff is terrible, need more training

The location was great. The carpet had stains on it. You can see the wear and tear of the washroom even where the main room is. I would only stay again because of the location. Some staffs are friendly, and some would completely ignore you. And if you approach them with a question, they looked irritated that you asked them a question. This is my honest review of the Lotte Hotel Seoul. For a five star they can definitely do a lot better.
