The hotel was very welcoming. It’s a well maintained hotel with a lot of character. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast buffet was well stocked and had a lot of variety. The room was excellent. We had the duplex room and it was very nice to have the sleeping area upstairs and a sitting area with a corner couch downstairs. It even had an old fashioned gaming system! The view from the balcony was beautiful and the whole place had a very peaceful vibe. The only thing it lacked was air conditioning but I understand that isn’t very prevalent in European hotels. We did have the patio door open all night to provide some cooler air and they did provide a stand up fan which helped a lot. I would definitely stay there again though this time I would stay longer!

I had a wonderful stay at Sunstar Hotel! All the staff members have been so friendly. Allen and Salman were super kind and awesome!! I enjoyed meeting them! The hotel itself is gorgeous with the best view of Grindelwald. I highly recommend :)

Views from our 4th floor room with balcony facing the mountains were breathtaking & the red geranium in the decks flower box added wonderful color. The pool and hot tub were exceptional and breakfast had many selections & a nice seating area. The automated check-in and checkout process made everything easy. Wengen was a central, gorgeous place to stay. I'd highly recommend this property!
