After requesting a quite room at time of booking we originally were located in no such room - friendly reception staff accommodated us but at our expense as they only had quite superior rooms. Which we paid the extra for. However do not be fooled by the name superior it was simply large. The furnishings were not what you would expect for a 4star - equally the toiletries were basic. That said the rooms was clean and the bed linen acceptable.

Perfect location to the ski busses and the city center (lots of shops and restaurants), ski rental shop in the hotel, great coffee station (complementary). Nice bar with lots of gathering spaces and comfy chairs. We did not choose the breakfast buffet, but our travel companions said it was great. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant twice, food was amazing and reasonably priced. Spa area has a swimming pool, hot tub, wet and dry sauna, ice room and a quiet area with swinging chairs by the fire. All included and free to use between 10am and 9pm. No kids after 3pm. Great experience, we’ll be back. No need to look for another hotel

The hotel worked great for two older guy friends skiing for a week. The thumbs up go to the excellent location, good clean rooms (very clean), helpful staff and convenience of an attached ski shop. The buffet breakfast was OK, but nothing to write home about. If you really care about a pool, sauna or hot tub this isn't the best choice. The spa area is small, and includes a steam room, pool and a two person home style hot tub with luke warm water. You have to book time to visit the spa area in advance because of its small size. Again, the hotel worked really well for us and we liked it, but had the spa area been better we would have been much happier. I suggest they dump the hot tub and install in a sauna. That would turn a negative into a positive even if it's a relatively small sauna. Just a thought as we do like the hotel, and it's only needing the spa to be upgraded to be much better.

We have been returning to vallorcine apartments for a few years now. Unfortunately we feel they are not run as well as they were a few years ago. There is no one on reception, the bakery is very low on stock - can’t even get milk there. The pool is not heated for long enough so it’s too cold to stay in for longer than 5-10minutes. The sauna is only open from 4 pm and then crowded with young children trying to get warm after the cold pool! The WiFi is very poor and there was only one English Channel available on tv. A few years ago there were several movie channels available, an ice rink, a little kiosk, towels for swimming at reception and someone on reception. There was also a games room with a pool table which is now gone. The apartments are generally clean but there were some missing items that had not been replaced eg chopping board, long mirror and the bath screen had a very mouldy seal. Overall, it was quite disappointing this year. It’s such a pity as they could be much nicer if run properly.
