As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

We’ve stayed at this hotel before and we love everything about it- the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the cleanliness of contemporary rooms, beautiful breakfast, super location, relaxed and cosy atmosphere in the veranda with free herbal tea and apples by the fireplace), thank you very much. Bonjour! What a wonderful little but delightful Maison. Lovely, friendly welcome. The staff are all very friendly and professional and the house and rooms are all fabulous and especially the spiral staircase. My room was large, spacious, clean and modern with high ceiling and view over the small pool. It’s a classic small mansion style you will see in photos, almost boutique as I’m sure all the rooms are different. I came in winter so couldn’t enjoy the pool and health facilities but I’ll bet it’s just amazing in spring and summer and so I’d love to come back with my partner too. The trams stop just outside so if you wanted to get to the centre it’s ideal but also the local area is friendly and safe too. I was here with business but would definitely return. The room was large and immaculate. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a chance to dine in the hotel and my meal was fabulous. Would definitely recommend!

Design, attentive staff

Staff was very courteous. Hotel is very clean and comfortable although the room is quite small. The main issue has to do with finding the boutique hotel in a small street and parking, even temporarily, to unload your car. The hotel parking is an extra charge but, it is quite a walk from the hotel. If I had travelled without a car, I probably would not have been inconvenienced as much. But, as I said the room was very clean and staff very helpful.

Room was great, spacious and had good amenities. Breakfast was delicious and staff were supper friendly. Only minor complaint is that I wish the safe were large enough to accommodate a standard size laptop.
