1. Hotel is located 10 minutes to Serdika metro station and another 10 minutes to the main cathedral. Sofia is a walkable city so the location is ideal. 2. The bathroom is clean, modern, a great soaker tub, good lighting and thoughtfully offered dental kit, shower cap, shaving kit with sweet smelling bath products. 3. There’s also cloth slippers, a bathrobe & plenty of cupboard space. 4. Breakfast is very filling - eggs, cheese, pastries, juices, yogurt, cereal & good coffee 5. Housekeeping is prompt and refills the in-room bottle of complimentary water. Plus there’s kettle in the room but you may want to bring your own teas. 6. María at reception was helpful and polite. The only staff member that had a smile. 7. The bedroom is very dimly lit and the carpets and single cloth chairs look old and tired. In fact, the bedroom is a complete contrast to the modern bathroom. 8. There seems to be an unusual limit on linens as there is only one bed pillow, one hand towel and one bath towel & a teeny tiny bath mat. Not sure why they’re rationing linens, but extra towels and an extra pillow would be in line with other hotel practices. 9. While the bathroom soaker tub was excellent, the water splashes all over the floor requiring personal cleanup after every shower. Hence, a large bath mat or perhaps two bath mats are essential. 10. Hotel guest Wifi never worked for me - not once, so have a good EU data plan as backup

Spotless! Exceptional staff!

Excellent hotel, wonderful welcome. The fridge was stocked with water, coffe. The view from the terrace is directly of the city. No complaints at all.

The staff on the front desk were really helpful and checked us in efficiently. The cleaning staff were excellent, with our room being cleaned at the same time each day. Overall we had no negative feelings towards the hotel (the rooms can get quite warm, but in winter that is not a bad thing at all). I saw a lot of people complain about the hotel being “outdated”, but in a former USSR country, I found it gives it some character. Would absolutely stay here again.

The amenities are great with some weird kinks. For example - the light switch for the bathrooms is behind the door on the outside of the bathroom so if you open the door you can't effectively reach for the light. You have to turn the light on before opening the door. The bath tub is incredibly high. If you have weak knees or osteoporosis or arthritis, getting over the tub wall to use the shower is a challenge. Speaking of shower - the mixer that turns it on and off is so complicated that it should come with an instruction manual. And yes, this is probably my 40th or 50th visit in this hotel in the span of the last few months. One notable thing about this hotel is that it has the best smelling towels and sheets I've ever used, world wide. While most hotels opt out for unscented detergents, this hotel dares to use a very fresh, gentle scent that makes the towels and the sheets smell awesome.

overall the stay was nice, but the stuff and the parking area responsible are not friendly at all. the room was very good and the entire facilities. but need to check very deeply the stuff and the responsible of parking area

Everything was top notch

Very comfortable place, in a nice neighbourhood.5 mins walk to metro, but walkable to most places.
