Sorrento Peninsula Honeymoon Holidays

The check-in process was completely lacking. I stood outside for over an hour emailing calling and trying to get lit in the door. It says the front office is open, but you have to know how to get in the door. Apparently you have to use the keypad and click on one of the options that was available. But nowhere was that in the directions and the phone number to call the reception area was not taking phone calls and no one ever responded to my emails so I spent almost 2 hours standing outside until other people came along and let me in. Absolutely ridiculous!

The room was very clean, Breakfast was not great! There was very little choice, this was the 3rd hotel that I had stayed in during my trip and the worst Breakfast..you had to ask the member if staff for more coffee and it felt like you were imposing on them. The hotel itself is lovely but the area is very rough. Every cafe I went into advised me to put my bag in front of me and look out for pick pockets.

Really good location, loved being on the water (especially in the evening). It was easy to get to and from all parts of the city and felt like we had more breathing space on the bay. We had a lovely little terrace and used it every evening. The hotel staff were generally friendly. The hotel has seen better days, faded grandeur might even be generous. The bathroom was covered in mould and if we hadn’t been so tired and not noticed the first night we would have asked to move, but there were signs of the same in the corridors anyway. The room was also smaller than pictures but I think we had been moved. Bigger terrace but smaller room. We had a “special rate” which was apparently almost half price (not quite when compared). Not sure we would stay again but relative to other options the location and personal outside space overlooking the bay were really good. Would look for a deal at one of the newer hotels / more recently refurbished nearby.

The room was nice and clean. Had an amazing view of the water from the balcony. The staff were really helpful and directed me along to all my questions. The breakfast was amazing and was a great way to start the day. Parking was paid but was not too pricy and it was great to have a spot in the basement so that I did not have to worry about street parking. However there was no elevator or stairs from parking into hotel. I had to walk back to the street from the driveway and enter the hotel from the street.

Hotel was excellent. Great location, very clean and service was spectacular. You will not be disappointed staying as this hotel. We were looking for a smaller boutique hotel in close proximity to the center of town and this hotel was perfect. The gentlemen who handled the breakfast in the morning went above and beyond to make you feel special. Every breakfast was cooked to order and the coffee was brewed a cup at a time. Amazing. We will stay here again on our next trip to Capri. Cheers. Rob and Kayty.

A beautiful hotel overlooking Sorrento and the bay, there's a regular shuttle bus to and from town but if you're feeling adventurous or like a run, there's a path that takes you into town in 15 minutes, I wouldn't recommend coming back up in the height of Summer. The hotel is spotless, we had the partial room option and the view from our balcony was breath taking. The pool was beautiful as were the outside grounds. The staff couldn't do enough to help and the breakfast buffet was sumptuous - Tiramisu for breakfast - yes please!
