The hotel and staff were nice. Unfortunately it is the end of October and getting chilly in Seoul, there was no way to control the thermostat so the room was cold. I asked the front desk and there was no way to control it but they were kind enough to bring me a portable oil heater. Once again, it was a bit disappointing because the heater barely helped warm up the room. I ended up wearing layers to bed and making a “blanket cave” to stay warm. Everything else about the hotel was great, it was just a bit too chilly for my liking, especially as someone that struggles to regulate their own body temperature.

I loved it probably will be back again to this hotel

Fairmont Hotel experience has always been fantastic including this one. It was a little surprising to see that the shower head was old and rusty, and was not spraying properly. It’s not a big deal but a minor detail.

We stayed at Grand Hyatt Incheon about two years ago and had a very positive experience. The hotel was very clean, conveniently located near the airport, and although the property was not new, it was well maintained and showed good attention to detail. We even appreciated small touches such as the Stokke high chair provided for children. For this trip, we considered the newly renovated and reopened Hyatt Place, but ultimately chose Grand Hyatt again because of our previous experience and because we expected the Grand Hyatt to offer a higher overall standard. Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The room looked noticeably old and, more importantly, poorly maintained. The biggest issue was the bedding. None of the bed linens felt fresh, and there was a distinct damp, musty smell, similar to fabric that had been wet and then dried slowly without proper ventilation. It gave us the impression that the bedding had not been refreshed properly, which significantly affected our comfort and confidence in the cleanliness of the room. We understand that an older hotel will naturally show some age, and that was never a problem for us during our previous stay. What was disappointing this time was the apparent decline in maintenance and housekeeping standards. Given the Grand Hyatt positioning, we expected the overall room condition and cleanliness to be clearly above that of a Hyatt Place, especially after having such a good experience here in the past.
