Mexico and Central America Fishing Holidays

I was very pleased with the family condo I stayed in. It had everything we needed, was comfortable, complete kitchen, even a washer for the clothes. I was dissapointed when I learned at check-in that they come to clean only every 3 days and if you want clean towels outside of those days you need to pay 15 USD and order them 24 hs in advance. On top of that one of the days they were supposed to come to clean they did not come, did not replace towels, toilet paper, tissue, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Gladly the front desk gathered some towels and tissue for us till next day. The receptionist that registered us the first day was not nice. She seemed aggravated by us refusing to wear a 24/7 bracelet that she wanted to put on us and said we could not take it off during our whole vacation so security would not give us any problems to get into the building. I requested to just have them in my purse instead, which seemed to irritate her. The rest of the staff we interacted with were always pleasant and helpful, and never once were we asked to show the bracelet in question.

Well maintained, polite staff, lots to eat

We stayed at Playa Grande over the Easter weekend, 2026. Overall the stay was great. The room was spacious and located conveniently next to the pool area, easy access to the beach. The room condition wasn’t the greatest: dirty bathtub with broken shower that kept running hot water. The shower was extremely challenging to regulate. The A/C was not working properly. The housekeeping was excellent though -big thank you! The amenities were great overall, a few decent size pools, a really large hot tub. There weren’t enough chairs by the pool and guests kept ‘reserving’ these with their towels. The restaurants on the property weren’t great. The service was slow, and the food was subpar, especially the sports bar. It took them 45 minutes to serve us a hotdog and a pizza, and both meals were awful. Anyway, I don’t recommend this place if you want to do all inclusive. Although, the location of playa grande is unbeatable with the marina and plenty of restaurants nearby. The beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen in my life! You can’t swim there, but the walks are unforgettable!

We had a wonderful time during our recent stay at Villa Del Palmar. We were impressed with the recent modifications and improvements on the property! As always, the staff was wonderful, hospitable and welcoming!
