Hotel is perfectly located in the old town of Nuremberg. Hotel is solid 4 star property. Comfortable room, perfect breakfast buffet. Staff were amazing. Each person we interacted with was knowledgeable, engaging and so helpful. Give us a perfect dinner recommendation. Hotel was charming. Great location to arrive early for your river cruise. Easy 20 minute taxi ride to the terminal which is in an industrial area.

The hotel was below my expectations, even knowing beforehand that it was a budget hotel. The photos advertised online don’t really match the reality. The entrance is very inconvenient. There are two flights of stairs just to reach reception, and the elevator wasn’t working. This meant carrying all our luggage upstairs to check in, only to take it back downstairs again to reach the room. The building seems to have been industrial in the past, which gives it a slightly strange feel. The hotel was also very noisy. We could hear every step from the rooms above us. The shower temperature was extremely unstable, changing from very hot to cold within seconds. The air conditioning wasn’t working at all, not even the fan. Opening the window wasn’t much of an option either, as it faces an industrial area and the noise outside is quite loud. I’ve stayed at dozens of Ibis Budget hotels, including several recently, and unfortunately this was the worst one so far. That said, for just one night, it was manageable.

The room was clean. Great location. Only issue was there is no Air Conditioning and only limited fans. This made for super hot nights.
