The airport shuttle was seamless and the driver was great. He had lots of insight into Split for us. The property and the room were lovely, with a large bathroom and shower. The beds were very comfortable. The location is fantastic, lots of restaurants in walking distance. However, the walls are paper thin and we heard the people talking in the room next to us when we were trying to get to sleep. Same issue with the floor, once the guy upstairs started coughing at 6:00 in the morning, the noise from up there didn’t stop and it was loud. If you are a light sleeper, probably not the place for you.

We stayed at Cornaro Hotel in Split and had a good overall stay, but I think expectations should be set appropriately. The positives: the rooftop was very nice, the room was spacious, and the hotel was surprisingly quiet despite the central location. Everything was comfortable and generally worked well for a city stay. That said, I would not classify this as a true five star hotel. In my view, it feels more like a solid four star property. Nothing was bad, but the overall experience, service level, and attention to detail did not match what I would normally expect at the five star level. One thing that was particularly frustrating: our room included a complimentary bottle of wine, but when we tried to enjoy it on the rooftop, we were told outside food and beverages were not permitted there. Since the wine was provided by the hotel as part of the stay, that policy felt unnecessarily restrictive and took away from the experience. Overall, a perfectly fine hotel with a great location, quiet rooms, and a nice rooftop, but I would recommend going in with four star expectations rather than expecting a luxury five star experience.

Be aware that the breakfast provided is not on site. It was excellent, but was a short walk down the waterfront.

We had a wonderful short stay at this lovely and quaint hotel. The location was on point, so close to everything. The staff were so helpful, especially Mario and Ivan. They arranged everything for us without hesitations. The breakfast was so delicious. And homemade traditional Croatian dishes were amazing as well. Would highly recommend this restaurant/hotel.
