The hotels definitely lives up to its pictures, walking around the grounds is breathtaking and the layout of reception inviting. Unfortunately the beautiful hotel missed some ambience. Lacking in music. Breakfast we decided to sample did not disappoint our taste buds, an amazing continental buffet style, with an additional option of ordering an array of eggs pancakes etc.. This was of great quality and alot of choice. The downsides to our stay was staff, a couple tainted the rest of the bunch. At night there was a friendly helpful bar person. But during the day not a smile to be seen and a word hardly spoken. Unfortunately we didn't sample the lunch and dinner menu as the rude staff once seated put us off partaking after giving them a second chance and still the same treatment we decided to venture out. Thankfully Elche didn't disappoint!

Spacious rooms with seating area and mini fridge and kettle. Comfortable beds and good air conditioning. Great location on the beach. Varied buffet breakfast. Not enough sun beds or shade in the lower pool area but the top terrace pool was great although again not enough shade. No kids club activities even though advertised in the lifts that miniclub was at 4pm and the receptionist had no idea either where it was or if it existed!
