1-Star Review — Not Remotely Four-Star Our stay at Cormoran Resort was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. We booked a Sea View Apartment expecting four-star service, but it felt more like a one-star hostel. The apartment had no coffee, no complimentary water, no daily housekeeping, no regular towel changes, and no room service. Basic amenities were simply missing. The pool was equally disappointing: not enough lounge chairs, no organization, and no beach service or regulation. Families were gathering multiple chairs, leaving other guests struggling to find a place to sit. Upon arrival, instead of feeling welcomed, we were handed a list of additional services to pay for—despite already paying for a four-star accommodation. There was also no gym. The only alternative was paying for a personal trainer. Overall, the lack of basic services, poor organization, and constant emphasis on additional charges made this an extremely disappointing stay. Cormoran Resort is nowhere near the four-star experience it advertises. In our experience, it was closer to a one-star hostel. We would absolutely not return.

What didn’t like: The hotel insisted on charging €30 a day for an infant (7month old), €150 for the trip. While the hotel has excellent facilities for children (1 year+) it does not cater at all babies. Aside from bottle warmers in the dining areas and the common courtesy of a cot in the room & high chair, there was nothing else. None of the toilets throughout the village had baby changing facilities and of course the food options were not applicable. The premium restaurant was also inaccessible for push chairs (stairs only, no elevator). The additional cost was excessive and in bad faith with that in mind. What we did like: Our room was pristine, a decent size and the shower (which is key measure for me in a hotel) was really great. The staff, especially around the dining areas were generally excellent. Friendly and courteous to us with our minimal/bad Italian and amazing with our child. The food was great, probably as good or better than the food we had outside of the resort, especially in the Mirto(?) restaurant. The selection was large, fresh and varied from day to day, better than we initially expected from a half board.

We stayed in a cottage, which was situated in a good location, close to tne beach. This resort is off a rugged but beautiful stretch of coast. The resort is beautiful, plenty of nature all around. It’s spread out over a hilly site, but has a free electric golf buggy service to get you about. There resort also offers a good mixture of swimming pools and cash bars. The entertainment on offer was good if you wanted it. We did an excellent excursion by boat along the coast as far a Cala Luna. Some of these beaches are stunning. We snorkelled every day and saw a good variety of fish. It’s a really nice resort and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The “Coral” room was lovely and spacious. All the staff at the hotel were terrific!

It’s spread out over a hilly site, but has a free electric golf buggy service to get you about. There resort also offers a good mixture of swimming pools and cash bars. The entertainment on offer was good if you wanted it. We did an excellent excursion by boat along the coast as far a Cala Luna. Some of these beaches are stunning. We snorkelled every day and saw a good variety of fish. It’s a really nice resort and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

A beautiful resort that made us feel right at home. Quiet and peaceful! Just what we needed! The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Not having a kettle in the room was initially frustrating but the staff were quick to respond and provided us with one for our morning tea. Overall, the breakfast was excellent but it would have been nice to have a bigger selection of fresh fruit. Thank you so much for allowing us to spend a couple of extra hours around the pool and accommodating us as we had an evening flight out of Cagliari on our last day. We look forward to coming back!

lovely hotel and staff, very convieniant for Cagliari- parking relatively cose in the station.
