We were surprised for how clean and comfortable this place was for us expending one night. Plenty of space in the room and nice bathroom too.

The location was unbeatable, very near the centre and the main Serdica metro station. The room was well furnished and spacious. A good gym and sauna. The breakfast was fabulous with all the usual things plus lots of Greek savouries and sweets. There isn't really anything to fault the Central Hotel. We would go back in a heart beat.

The amenities are great with some weird kinks. For example - the light switch for the bathrooms is behind the door on the outside of the bathroom so if you open the door you can't effectively reach for the light. You have to turn the light on before opening the door. The bath tub is incredibly high. If you have weak knees or osteoporosis or arthritis, getting over the tub wall to use the shower is a challenge. Speaking of shower - the mixer that turns it on and off is so complicated that it should come with an instruction manual. And yes, this is probably my 40th or 50th visit in this hotel in the span of the last few months. One notable thing about this hotel is that it has the best smelling towels and sheets I've ever used, world wide. While most hotels opt out for unscented detergents, this hotel dares to use a very fresh, gentle scent that makes the towels and the sheets smell awesome.

Just a fabulous place. Rooms can get a bit warm but shut the curtains and leave the aircon on and it was fine.

Excellent location with helpful staff. This was a last~minute choice and one well made.

The check in procedure takes more than 40 mins. At the beginning , the front desk said that he cannot find my reservation and ask me wait until he at last find my reservation. Otherwise, the hotel is excellent!

This is not 4 stars hotel maximum 3 stars. No air conditioning, no shampoos, no pool/gym.
