Nice location in Opatija. A bit difficult to park and check-in, we parked in nearby parking garage and then staff gave us directions to their parking lot. It is a bit of a walk from parking to hotel. We had a standard type hotel room with a view over the trees to the bay. Very nice old hotel. Very walkable once you have checked in.

Perfect stay for a family vacation! Well equipped apartments, realy 10 meters from the sea, view is fantastic. We had our own sunbed at the beach, which was amazing, also the pool was heated. Friendly staff, Veronica was very helpfull. Thanks for the gift, the wine was great.

Great location, close to beaches and shops. Excellent buffet breakfast. Clean and comfortable. Room keys had to be reset several times during our stay, so this could be improved.

I am not satisfied with their service. I booked a deluxe room and the air conditioning is not working. I was on the 3rd floor and they downgrade my room to 1st floor. They told me there is nothing available. I was really upset and I ask if I can upgrade my room with extra money. But they kept telling me it’s not available except for the room in the 1 st floor. Will not go back to this hotel.

Overall, I found the location to be very convenient, situated right next to a café offering a variety of quick bites such as pizza, sandwiches, chicken wraps, soda, sweet drinks, and pastries. The bedroom was comfortable, with a bed that was firm yet soft, accompanied by fresh, clean bedsheets. The restroom was updated and modern, featuring good water pressure. I appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi and breakfast, which included eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, oatmeal, sweets, and juices – the food was tasty. Additionally, the hotel kindly lent me an umbrella during rainy days, and Uber or taxi services were readily available for pick-up. The room amenities included a patio with a table and chair, a refrigerator, TV, and desk, which made my stay more convenient. The hotel is also just one block away from a grocery store and approximately 20 minutes from the airport. Lastly, the hotel reception staff were nice and professional.

Have stayed here often, staff has always been courteous, amiable and helpful… Front Desk staff did not … Bell staff and restaurant staff did.

This is the premier hotel in Zagreb. Its history with the Orient Express speaks for itself. The room we had was run entirely by touch screens. Everything from A/C controls to lights and curtains were controlled by touch screens throughout the room. We only stayed two nights, but I’d give this hotel high marks.
