Although this was more than walking distance from city of Ponta Delgada it still was close enough to drive, bus, etc.
There were shopping and dining options in and near the hotel. Staff at front desk and bar were great, and we enjoyed it here for our last day before our flight, and drove to city after check out before we flew home in the afternoon.

Never ever fails to amaze how great the hotel is. The staff, check in, the room, wow, the bed, the crisp sheets. The wine, the eating area, even the bathroom! Will definitely return.

This is simply a fantastic hotel - a real gem. We loved our stay - beautiful surroundings, including private hotel use of the gardens and thermal pool after 4.30pm and excellent food. However, what really made it were the staff - always fantastic service and very friendly. We look forward to returning. Thank you.

Staff good. Room was a good size but no storage for clothes. Breakfast was poor. We had a room facing the street and it was very noisy at night. Overpriced.
