The staff was very friendly. Checking in was wonderful. I really liked the woman at reception. The hotel was clean and modern inside, the room was a nice size. They even had a small kitchen, But! If you plan on ACTUALLY sleeping, this is NOT the hotel for you. If you want to go out late and eat and drink, it’s perfect and the location is great! Otherwise, the noise outside went on until past 3-4 am right outside the window. Even after the bars closed. Then the garbage trucks started. At some point, I opened my phone and tried white noise, brown noise, rain even the inside of a train sounds for noise canceling, nothing worked. I went into my luggage and found a small portable speaker to amplify it. It still wasn’t loud enough. I moved it around the room closest to the noise, then closest to my pillow, There was yelling and horns and loud music. It was unbearable at some point. Desperate to sleep, as I had been traveling, I found two cereal bowls in the cupboard and tried to make a small speaker amplifier putting my small speaker inside one and out the other bowl partially tilted on top with an opening facing me to magnify sound. I thought I was staying near the airport for an early flight, I didn’t know I was signing up for an on the spot engineering class. I got MAYBE an hours sleep in. But if you want to stay in the middle of town, and don’t care about sleeping at all and having the town at your doorstep this is the place for you!

The location was perfect, quiet and safe. The staff were amazing. They were super friendly and helpful. They cooked delicious food and made awesome drinks. Breakfast included and super clean. I would definitely recommend the Ollen Apartments.

Wonderful stay in the heart of Ragusa Ibla. The location was excellent—within easy walking distance of the main sights, restaurants, and beautiful piazzas that make the town so special. The hotel was charming, impeccably clean, and blended perfectly with the historic character of the area. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the room was comfortable and well appointed. We only stayed one night, but it was the perfect base for exploring Ragusa Ibla. We would happily stay here again on a future visit.

The hotel is very nice but very expensive for food & drinks & the menu is basically for fine dining so maybe not for everyone? Very isolated so you can only really eat at the hotel but positioned well for Mount Etna excursions & that is why we chose it.

This is a gorgeous rural hotel with an amazing pool area, a quiet, calm, gentle vibe, beautiful gardens, superb staff who will look after you so well. Even though hotel was full (still only 30 or so guests) there was loads of space, beds by the pool, other seating areas … a truly relaxing experience. Add in premium end toiletries in the bathroom and it’s a 10/10 from us, 4 nights of bliss. Hotel is an easy 20 minute drive from Ortigia for dinners out if you want and hotel advises where to park without problem. Easy drive to places like Noto also and beaches - again, hotel will advise.

Bay Palace is situated close to the beach with easy access up to Taormina by cable car. The views from this hotel are stunning.

A wonderful stay! We spent three nights there and would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is situated on a vast property with beautifully manicured gardens. The pool is huge. The beach is just a few meters away and easily accessible. The food and service were excellent. We would return without hesitation!

A very well maintained hotel. An excellent pool. Incredibly helpful staff even though we speak very limited Italian and an exceptional breakfast.
