I would definitely recommend Hotel Casanova. The service was excellent, the customer service was great, and everything was very clean. I was very happy with my stay and had a wonderful experience.

Good location by the water bus stop on the Grand Canal and thankfully a bit away from the crowds of St. Marco district, which is easy 10-minute walk away. Big room, marble-everywhere bathroom, comfortable bed, strong AC, BUT the carpet in room 101 should have been replaced 10 years ago. Guessing it used be white, but now it is gray-ish and covered in dark stains all over. Oddly, a porter entered the room "to check the minibar inventory" while we were in the room resting in the afternoon. Why the inventory count was not done during the cleaning earlier in the day??... Not a 5-star hotel category.

Staff were amazing, apartments were huge and very modern, central location walkable to everything, would stay again

A superstar hotel with a private launch to and from San Marco. The most relaxing hotel in Venice. Everything is beautiful.

Overall, Hotel Ca' Alvise was a good hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a pleasant stay. In general, I was happy with the hotel and would recommend it for a short stay in Venice.

We stayed for a night after a cruise out of Ravenna. Our privately booked guide (Carla) picked us up at the bus station, took us to a boat, and delivered us directly to the front door of this hotel. The hotel is directly on the canal so you go right from the boat to the entrance. There was an employee waiting to help with our luggage, and since we arrived before check in, they helpfully gave us a place to store our luggage, suggested a place for lunch, and since we had a larger party (8 people in three rooms) even called ahead to the restaurant (which was a quick five minute walk away) and made sure tables would be ready for us. In the morning we enjoyed their breakfast, which was enormous and tasty, before meeting Carla once again for a boat ride to the airport. The rooms were clean, the entire property was clean and maintained, and it's in a wonderful part of Venice that is less touristy.

Everything was wonderful from beginning to end. Can’t wait to go back.
