Great location for exploring the city by foot or public transport.
Opulent communal areas with piano player in the bar.
Reasonable sized rooms but a bit tired. Jug did not work, bed soft but comfortable and curtains needed some attention.
We had a good few days here and it’s close to launderettes.

Overall, the hotel is quite good, but the rooms are starting to feel a bit outdated and could use renovation. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, which really improves the overall experience.
However, dining at the bar was quite disappointing. It was almost impossible to enjoy a proper meal there, and it felt like frozen, low-quality food was simply being reheated.
