Can't say enough about this remodeled hotel. The staff were just amazing and friendly from the maid staff, restaurant workers, bellmen, and the reception desk team. Our room was very quiet even though it was right along the canal. The breakfast options were great from continental, to hot/cold buffet, to order ala carte. The location is easy and safe to get to the main wharf with 2 different walking options (1 included no stairs) that take 10-20 minutes depending on where you want to go. Parking was free and simple, but with the wharf so close we didn't have to drive, find parking, and pay for parking there. We even boarded the hop on/hop off canal boat tour right at the hotel. We loved the hotel so much that we extended our original 4 night stay an additional 5 nights. We would stay here again.

I said the night for a layover. The rating on the door is rated 3 star out of 5 from South Africas rating on hotels. It's a quick place to recuperate and gather your thoughts. The British breakfast is mid and as an American beans dont belong on a plate but for a quick meal and morning energy it was worth eating. I think my review is simple for a one night stay
