Kofinas Beach Holidays

This is a 3-star resort at best. We stayed at a number of 5-star resorts while in Greece and Royal Cactus unfortunately wasn’t one. The resort definitely nickel and dimes you. They claim all inclusive but so much costs extra. A sparkling wine or Freddo cappuccino or even a bottled water costs extra. Any room service costs extra. The drinks that are included taste very artificial. We stayed at other resorts that were not all inclusive and the Freddo cappuccinos were included as part of breakfast. One night I didn’t feel well and asked if I could have a bottle of water to take up to the room and was told it would cost 3.50. Which was fine and I asked if I could room charge, they couldn’t figure it out for almost 5 minutes so I finally gave up and said not to worry about it, and went up to my room without water… instead of them just showing some hospitality and letting me take it. Be prepared to inhale smoke everywhere you go and to never be able to find a pool lounger. We only ate at the resort once bc the food was dry and bland. Desserts were good. No dinner drink service or waiter service at the pool. Poor WiFi and hot water ran out a number of times. Cleaning supplies left out in the hallways for guests to see every day. If you want a true 5-star experience, take your money elsewhere!

Really good hotel. It’s a boutique and therefore you are treated especially well by the staff and family who own the hotel. The location is by the coast with 5min walk to a lovely beach area. Breakfast is good and the gym is ideal. The massage chairs are a great touch and very useful. The rooms are very good size with kitchen and with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. A very good and calm place to stay and Heraklion is very nearby.

Amazing setting, great food in every restaurant that was Michelin quality and exceptional service

A bit outdated. Great breakfast and good location.

Hotel ist neu und sehr zentral gewesen. Dementsprechend sehr sauber. Viele Mitarbeiter sind sehr hilfsbereit. Pool Größe ist in Ordnung, aber nicht so groß. Zu unserem Pech hatte Dachterasse eine Woche lang ein Problem und man konnte nicht hoch. Das war nicht so toll. Es gibt nicht so viel Auswahl für Vegetarier beim Frühstück. Im a la Carte Prinzip. Zimmer ohne Balkon nicht zu empfehlen im Sommer. Im Hotel ist noch eine Boulangerie, wo man für den Kleinen Hunger immer etwas bekommt. Der Mitarbeiter dort ist super nett gewesen und hatte viele Tipps für uns. Viele Restaurants sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Strände in der Nähe sind etwas überfüllt und klein. Im Umkreis gibt es schönere. Vor Ort haben wir ein Auto ohne Probleme gemietet. Und ein Taxi hat das Hotel für uns organisiert.

Very nice beach centric boutique hotel with extremely helpful staff

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Amirandes Hotel and would highly recommend it. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our bungalow room was lovely. We especially enjoyed being able to walk straight out and look at the sea. The main pool is huge, with plenty of space to relax, and there are lots of activities available throughout the week. We particularly loved the padel, olive oil tasting and pottery making. I also had the signature massage, which was a full-body treatment. I love a massage, and this was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The poolside team were always so smiley and attentive, regularly bringing us drinks and making us feel very well looked after. The cleaners were equally friendly, and our room was immaculate every day. We ate at the buffet most evenings, but we also visited Blue Monkey. If you are staying on a half-board basis, they offer a €20-per-person credit against the bill, which was a lovely bonus. The food there was delicious. The buffet staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and we especially loved the pancake lady! The morning team were also fantastic, taking our coffee orders as soon as we sat down. Every member of staff helped make our stay so enjoyable. We would highly recommend Amirandes Hotel and would love to return.
