Great location with short walk to the heart of Reykjavik on Laugavegur. Quite neighborhood. Easy parking. Not a chain, but an original, local hotel. Beautiful Icelandic art work throughout hotel and rooms.

"Lack of room service was an issue for this supposed 4 star rated property but not a major issue. Friendly front office staff. Food at dinner was surprisingly good, but the breakfast was fair. Pancakes were cold, sausages of poor quality but good coffee and fruits."
