Little gem in union square

Nice room, nice location. Ceiling fan was broken, otherwise I would have given 5 stars

This is not a regular Hilton hotel, but a DoubleTree property operated under the Hilton brand. First of all, the staff were very friendly, and we have no complaints about them. However, the hotel itself was very dirty. We couldn’t even let our children play or walk on the floor because the carpet was so dirty that it felt sticky under our feet. That was completely unacceptable. I won’t even comment on the windows and curtains. The hotel looked old and poorly maintained. We stayed for only two days and simply couldn’t stay any longer. It was nothing like what was shown in the promotional photos. So don’t expect the same view or condition when you arrive.

It is a very modern hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, very conveniently located to downtown SF, Bell staff are excellent and concierge desk very helpful in selecting tours. We enjoyed our visit and would stay there again!!
