Cabo de Santa Maria Island Adventure Holidays

My stay at Pestana Alvor Praia exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home with their genuine friendliness and helpful attitude. The attention to detail in room cleanliness and maintenance was top-notch—everything felt fresh, comfortable, and very well kept. Between the warm service and fantastic facilities, we had a truly relaxing stay. We will definitely be returning!

From the moment you arrive, the beauty of the hotel is striking. Walking in feels like stepping into a peaceful sanctuary. Everything about the design, setting and atmosphere immediately creates a sense of serenity. The staff are wonderful and beautifully attired. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment with its own private pool, and it was simply stunning. The layout and design were exceptional. Both bedrooms were beautifully done, and the bathrooms deserve a special mention; there are two, each with enormous standalone baths and huge enclosed showers. The space, design and attention to detail made the apartment feel incredibly luxurious. We visited Café Central for breakfast and lunch because we liked the peaceful vibe and found the fresh pastries, coffee, and variety of dishes to be wonderful. Sitting there quietly with a coffee was a lovely way to spend an hour of the day, and the gentleman Pedro, who works there, is absolutely charming. Overall, it has felt like a real privilege to stay at the Viceroy. It is a truly special place that combines beautiful design, outstanding service and complete tranquillity. The only problem is that you have to check out, and honestly, you won’t want to. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this stay so memorable.

Rooms were clean and staff very helpful. Were not advised that Pool Bar and parts of spa would be closed during our stay. From listing was expecting a room with a view of pool area etc instead of onto roadway. Having said that on balance would stay there again. Centrally located for sightseeing etc.

The room was great value for money, I had a huge room and balcony., very soft bed and nice shower. The food was amazing and had great options, the wine on tap was incredible. would love to come back when i come to Portugal again.

Beautiful hotel, but in a very busy area. I will say the breakfast was awful. Not to our taste. No change in options from day to day. The views from the Monica collection was spectacular. There is a fabulous restaurant on the beach called the beach cafe that provided romantic, delicious meals in the evening. Overall we had a nice stay

Nice, large hotel suited for families and golfers. Room was nice and spacious with double sink bathroom. Staff were really helpful which was nice, especially finding our room which was one of the villas outside. Breakfast was ok but appreciated they have labels to show allergens, although disappointed that they paired the bread with the bacon. I’m gluten free and unfortunately both sections of bacon had bread underneath which seemed a bit ridiculous because there is a whole bread/pastry section.
