Wonderful Stay with Great Hospitality — Some Areas to Improve.We recently had the pleasure of staying at Sofitel Sentosa, and overall, it was a very enjoyable and memorable experience.A special shoutout to the all-day dining restaurant team serving breakfast and dinner — they were truly exceptional. The food quality, variety, and presentation were excellent, and the staff’s warmth and attentiveness made every meal delightful. In fact, we chose to dine in every day purely because of the experience they created. The property itself has a very calming and positive vibe. The ambience is serene, the surroundings are beautiful, and the staff across the hotel are courteous and welcoming. One of the highlights of our stay was seeing birds and peacocks freely roaming around — it added a unique charm to the overall experience. That said, there are a few areas where the property could improve: Cleanliness near reception area Upon arrival, the restrooms near the reception were not clean. While the staff responded promptly once informed, a more proactive approach to upkeep—especially in high-visibility areas—would significantly enhance the first impression. Swimming pool safety (especially for kids) The swimming pool is not particularly kid-friendly. It can feel unsafe for children without flotation support such as life jackets or inflatable tubes. Additionally, the lifeguard presence felt passive — there was limited proactive monitoring or intervention, which is an area that needs attn.

I stayed here for a short layover. Overall, the stay was decent. Positives: The room was quite spacious and the basic amenities were fine. The property is a bit dated, but reasonably well maintained. Cleanliness was decent, but there’s definitely room for improvement. Things to be aware of: The biggest issue is the location. It is often advertised as being 3–5 km from Changi Airport, but it’s actually around 15–16 km away. Travel time can be 40–45 minutes during the day, so don’t rely on it being “close” to the airport. The hotel is also not centrally located. There are a few local food options nearby, but not much if you’re looking to explore Singapore or enjoy a wider variety of restaurants. This is more about the area than the hotel itself. Getting a Grab during off hours can also take some time, so plan accordingly. I didn’t try the breakfast, so can’t comment on that. Overall: Good for a quiet stay, but not ideal if you want quick airport access or a central location.

For a 5 star hotel, the room carpet was old and dirty. Some parts are sticky and just give the old experience and dont look great. Some furniture was old and not furnished. Staff service can be better too
