Great breakfast to start the day and rooms were presented well along with cozy and inviting. Comfortable and clean rooms and a wonderful property. Our family enjoyed the stay.

At check in we were allocted a room on 3rd floor and informed the lift was out of order. As my Wife has a heart condition and is awaiting surgery this was unsuitable. we were informed that Expedia had been informed of the lack of a lift and that they (Expedia) should have advised us of this fact before we arrived. We stayed in the hotel for only one night checking out on the 27th June as my Wife found the stairs extremely difficult, having to stop and recover at each landing. I have to say that the receptionist carried our luggage up to our room which was much appreciated. I believe that Expedia failed in their duty of care for us as their customers and as such would hopethat Expedia compensate us for a shortened stay. William Steele

Not as I expected, very small and dark room with an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. I booked expecting a better quality due to the 8.2 rating on hotels.com, definitely not more than 7.2 in my opinion. The room is pretty dark and claustrophobic. Our room had a bathroom adapted for the disabled which made it not so suitable for myself and my husband. The sink was tiny with no plug which made washing difficult and the wet room style bathroom completely flooded when taking a shower which then meant you got wet feet when using the toilet for the next few hours. The bed was okay but not fantastic and as it was against the wall, i had to climb over my husband to get out of bed in the night to use the bathroom which then woke him up, not ideal. I didn’t have any contact with the owner or anyone else as it is an unmanned property. The location is fantastic but was difficult to find, clearer directions when booking was confirmed would have been very helpful. There isn’t parking anywhere near to the rooms and no road access either as it is literally on the pier, again, this information would have been helpful instead of having to go into the ferry office to see if they knew where it was. Overall a very basic rental which might suit many travellers but not for me unfortunately.

It was wonderful however quite secluded.
