The service from the staff was exceptional and really was the highlight of the trip. Elvis and Felix spoke English and really helped us navigate the city, arrange rides and make plans. The location is beautiful and very relaxing, though the distance from the city made it a bit challenging to get food. The provided breakfast was excellent and the restaurant on site was also really good (but a bit pricey).

This is a very rural hotel, once you are there you will be staying here! But it’s perfect for a visit to the Zhangjiajie national park. The rooms are great, a lot of attention to details and the water noise is perfect to fall asleep to. The staff are very attentive and want to help, especially Felix, he made a real difference to our stay. The free shuttle to/from the airport/train station was high quality and on time to meet us.

The hotel is truly unique in terms of surrounding and buildings (though it was in a remote area). The stay was an exceptionly experience to us. We were greeted by the manager and sent off by him personally. He was warmth and sincere when servicing us. The overall feel of the stay was marvelous.

The name "Home away from home" says it all 😊 The host Destiny is phenomenal! He makes sure we are taking care of with all small details, all stuff are super friendly and very helpful from start to finish. Food is simple and very delicious, you had the chance tasting traditional chinese local cuisine fusion with western style. The stay, it's beyond "AMAZING"!!! From Chinese culture exterior to modern spacious suite, 2 bedrooms, 2 king size bed with its own ensuite, totally a secret gem! Definitely recommend and would love to come back again!!

My daughter and I recently stayed at this charming hotel nestled right under the mountain, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel itself is very clean and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and spotless common areas. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The food was another highlight — fresh, flavorful, and served in a cozy dining area that made every meal enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to unwind in a scenic, quiet location with great service and quality food.

WOW. The place was so beautiful. It was sat between mountains with the BEST scenes ever. The room we stayed in was so beautiful and had an unreal view of the hills. The food was also amazing. We had certain requirements as we can only eat halal food, and they made sure to accommodate as best they could. Felix and Elvis were honestly so good. The best service ever. They helped us prepare and helped with our whole itinerary to Tianmen Mountains and the Avatar Mountains. From the airport, a driver was provided, and picked us up promptly. The car was luxury. As part of the itinerary, they also booked our tickets to the 2 mountains, and provided us with drivers to and from there. We were honestly stress free and the whole experience was exceptional. Anytime we had any enquiries, we just messaged the team and they got back to us within minutes.

A Fantastic Hotel with Top-Notch Service

I recently stayed at this hotel and was absolutely blown away. The service was truly exceptional – the staff were warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. The rooms were luxurious, spotless, and offered breathtaking views. But the real highlight? The pool area. A stunning, crystal-clear infinity pool with a relaxing atmosphere, and a great poolside bar. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun. They also have a great restaurant with traditional chinese food and with barbecues in the evenings. This hotel exceeded all expectations – I’ll definitely be coming back. Pure perfection!

A resort

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is very nice, this is comfortable and providing great service. The Wi-Fi is good. You have a team of people looking after you and making sure that your state is wonderful and meeting your needs. It's intended as a resort-style experience where you stay in the hotel but do not go out. The only negative aspect about this hotel is the location. It is located in a rural area. It's approximately 10 kilometers away from the city. This was not well-communicated in the map on Hotel.com. We were having difficulty locating the hotel. In addition, the check-in process was confusing because there was no one to greet us, and the property is very spread out. There were no clear signage for drivers or hotel’s guests to locate main office and check in. Fortunately, I had a driver who was able to call the hotel and speak to them in Chinese, and they were able to direct me to the right locations. Otherwise, for an international traveler who does not speak Chinese, it may be difficult to locate the hotels and check-in. But once you are checked in, your stay is very comfortable. You can get didi car to get to town. It can cost about 40 RMB per one way. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. If you had the right expectations, I recommend staying at this hotel again.

The staff, Elvis, Grace, and especially Felix were tremendously helpful and friendly. They took care of absolutely everything and truly went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful experience. My stay at Home Away From Home was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine hospitality and outstanding service. The staff was very welcoming and nice, very attentive to our stay. The two rooms we had were clean and comfortable. The resort is very quiet and well maintained in the main areas. It was nice to stroll around the property. Breakfast was great with many options. Dinner was a little limiting for our tastseand the resort is a little scheduled, but that allows for the quiet atmosphere.
