The hotel and location was excellent. George, Diane and all the staff (breakfast & Balash) were always cheerful and helpful. We would recommend this hotel, well worth a visit - in reach of all attractions.

Great location

The hotel was very quiet when we were there as it was the end of the season. The staff were all great. I missed not having a kettle in the room especially when a cup of tea at the bar cost €6.50 Pool was lovely but a bit cold. The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well there. The location is fantastic.

Great stay in this beautiful area of Austria. First the positives( there were many).. The welcome from reception staff at the hotel was perfect. Hotel is in a fantastic location and is visually very attractive and well maintained. Hotel is very Austrian , charming with lots of character. Hotel offers lots of activities, swimming pool, fitness, health spa etc etc. We hired e bikes directly from the hotel for a very reasonable rate of 35 euro. We made the 9okm round trip to the beautiful Lofa without any issues. Staff were extremely attentive. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Our room was of a good size, complete with sofa and small balcony. Room was cleaned to a high standard every day. Negatives. No air conditioning in the room(it was in the middle 30s during the entirety of our 4 day visit). I was really surprised to find a hotel of this quality didn't have air conditioning. Fan was provided which didn't really assist in managing the temperature. No shower screen or curtain when showering in the bath. The floor was constantly wet unless you sat in the bath to shower(rather defeats the point of a shower). No tea and coffeee in the room. The fridge in the room was very poor and hardly cooled anything. I would have loved to give the hotel 5 stars has we had an amazing stay in the stunning Zell Am See region. Hotel is fantastic but missing out on a few "room basics' at this price point. Great stay as part of a 14 day trip around Austria.

The hotel is stunning and central. It’s about a 7 minute walk from the train station. The breakfast was superb and included in our stay. There is a very nice restaurant although it is expensive. Only drawback is that the hotel room had no AC which made sleeping uncomfortable.

Hotel beautiful, ...staff v pleasant, ...spa facilities excellent, BUT......a big disappointment with the food ! This was our 3rd time staying in the Torolerhof as we were delighted with every aspect of the hotel on previous visits. This time...we seen a huge deterioration in variety, presentation and standard of food.. Apparently the chef they had, left last October, and to quote a member of staff... “it has been catastrophic “. Eg: salad buffet served up cold baked beans for starter with lettuce and tomato etc. (Salads , SAME every night and v basic). NOT the standard of food we associated with this hotel. One evening was a “Meat buffet” and we thought, this would be better, but were astounded to find 4 varieties of meat all piled into one stainless steel roasting dish together ..covered with a piece of tin foil which the chef lifted on and off as he asked...what would you like? He then hoaked through the jumble of meat till to found what you asked for...and proceeded to cut a slice for you on a grotty looking cutting board. The plates were cold, and the skin, bones and cut offs from meat were thrown into a container sitting on serving counter right under your nose where your food was served. All in all, sorely disappointed with our dining experience in a hotel that we associated with excellence of food.
