There is a very experienced management team located near by with anything you may need. This beautiful two-storey villa is the ultimate in Greek luxurious accommodation. Water & electric do go off now & again as the utility companies have the same laid back attitude as the rest of the Greek islands chilled out. Enjoy!! Villa Ella's Location: Villa Ella is located in a quiet area of Agrilia just a short walk away from Lagana and a little further along the sea front is Kalamaki. It is surrounded by Olive groves and is very private but close enough to the shops and supermarkets for those essential items. The beach is approx. 1.5km which is an enjoyable walk both during the day and in the evening. Taxi's are handy and charge around 6 euros into Kalamaki or Lagana. There are horse riding stables in walking distance and you can hire locally a car, motorcycle or bicycles for the more energetic! The island has many very nice beaches but two have an interesting bonus. Lagana and Kalamaki (Geraka) are home to the Caretta-Caretta sea turtles. Here these creatures come ashore at night to lay their eggs, a fascinating site for those with an interest in baby turtles. At night Zakynthos city and Tisilivi offer good options for dining and accommodation. The capital Zakynthos offers fantastic views across the harbor and many restaurants to chose from. Tisilivi is approximately 15 minutes by car!!! Zante: Zakynthos has luxuriantly fertile mountains, ancient villages, Venetian monasteries, together with the bustling resorts of the south making this an island to please everyone. You can find long sandy beaches, small secluded coves, you can visit traditional monasteries, walk among the countryside where the smell of wild herbs is intoxicating, taking in breathtaking views of cliffs, sea and amazing sunsets. You can visit the famous Ship Wreck Bay, voted one of the top ten beaches in the world by Conde Naste Traveler, the Blue Caves or the home of the Caretta Turtle. If you are after excellent shopping, art and culture the Capital Zakynthos town is certainly worth visiting. The square in the evening tends to be very lively and there are lots of restaurants to choose from where you can sit under the stars and enjoy local traditional Greek dishes. The island itself is easy to drive around and the scenery very beautiful. So don't delay book today two villas are available for group bookings. Due to the high standard of our villa and the experiences we have had in the past we are sorry but we will not except parties of young people under the age of 25\. It had everything we could have needed. Pool is fantastic, kids were in it constantly. We did hire a car, as we were a bit too far from the beach / restaurants to walk, but this meant we we able to drive all over the island exploring. The property suited all our needs, one thing I will mention is the shower drain doesn’t drain properly and if shower exceeds 3-5 mins, it will flood the bathroom floor going under the door into the hallway. Close to the beach and the strip was a perk as we were looking for a nightlife experience. Great pool area and outside areas. Fantastic location to explore the island, although we did find the litter in the laganas area quite troubling compared with other parts of the island. Used Fotis car hire, very helpful chap and convenient. We definitely needed a car, just for ease and convenience. Our only minor downsides were the pool being so shallow (so the water was very warm) and the main bedroom aircon wasnt as good as the other rooms. We would definitely stay again, fantastic place all in all. Olive Garden and Island were nice for food - Island do great margaritas! And the lovely christina recommended lots of great places for us to visit. Olive Garden do free starters 5-8 if purchasing an alcoholic drink. Our favourite restaurant hands down was Vintage Steakhouse in Kalamaki, stunning food and great service. Koukis at St Niks beach excellent too. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Denise and Paul were very helpful which made our stay even more pleasant. We found the villa very spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The pool and the BBQ are fantastic. It was also great to have a washing machine and Wi-Fi! The villa is the perfect distance from Laganas; not too close and not too far. Taxis are freely available too. (We generally walked to Laganas in the morning and caught taxis back later in the day) I highly recommend villa Ella and hope to return one day. ##### Warren H. The villa on arrival was very welcoming, clean tidy and well equipped, it certainly was a home from home as it had all the same facilities that you would have in your own home. The pool was a great asset as well, after being out all day it was a welcome to take a dip in the pool to cool down. The owners have gone to a great effort to leave advice of best places to hire vehicles, to eat, shop and places of interest. The villa was very easy to drive to, with the directions given. Arrived at the villa at night,there was a welcome items on arrival. Tea, coffee, bread ect. Which was very nice and needed. The villa was very spacious, we decided to bring the matress from downstairs and put it in the main bedroom. Which worked well for us. The villa is extremely close to the airport , where you xan watch the planes fly over and land. But its not noisy or interfere with the villa.The pool is lovely and wide, but would be alot better if deeper. The villa is 4 mins drive to the neareast beach and 6 mins to laganas or kalamaki. You definitely need a car or some sort of transport. The beach is to far to walk. I would say about 30 mins in 40 degree heat.We travelled around and found it easy to get to lots of places. Especially the cat cafe in Kalamaki. In all i would recommend Villa Ella. ##### Janice C. Before booking the villa we read the reviews which said that you didn’t need a car, but you did, the villa is located between 2 towns, Laganas & Kalamaki and these are too far to walk to, which meant getting taxis to & fro. The area round the villa is a bit run down, with no lighting along the roads, which made it a bit worrying walking about on a night time, especially when there are dead rats on the road!! We couldn’t fault the villa and all the management team for being so efficient and being on hand if we needed them, but don’t think we will be returning to Zante. ##### Angela W. The Villa was lovely and we had a very relaxing week enjoying the hot sun. The Villa is very nice and the description is accurate and the location is perfect being just far enough away from the airport to have easy access but without being bothered by the noise. Also the property is just far enough away from the very busy and loud Laganas resort which would suit groups of youg lads and girls as there are many cheap restaurants and nightclubs, but if you prefer a slightly more sedate time, then head to Kalamaki or Agassi where there are some very good restaurants. Heaven's Kitchen restaurant in Kalamaki is excellent both from food, atmosphere and service perspective. There are a number of very good beaches within easy access on the east side of the island passed Agassi at Porto Zorro and Banana Beach but a car is a must to explore these places. The property was very clean and Ann the local management company rep was on hand to check we had arrived safely and if we were all ok and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Mike the pool man cleans the pool every other day and is a very pleasant guy who has a welath of local knowledge having lived in Zante for over 20 years! Zante is a nice island and a great place to relax sipping a galss of wine or beer or both!!!
