This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home sleeps up to six guests maximum. We cannot accomodate more than 6 guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking and dining needs, including a dishwasher. The private deck has deck furniture, and a gas BBQ for grilling your favorite meals and eating outside!
Wawona is inside Yosemite National Park, near the south entrance to the park and Mariposa Grove. Enjoy huge swimming holes in the South Fork of the Merced River (walking distance from the house!), hiking to Chilnualna Falls, the historic Wawona Hotel the Wawona Golf Course, Wawona Stables, Swinging Bridge and much more!
Wawona is an hour drive to Yosemite Valley attractions and Glacier Point.
Minimum age of primary renter: 25.
If our cabin and Yosemite are accessible, we do not cancel, modify, or refund reservations based on smoke, which is a very common occurrence in Yosemite each summer. This policy is consistent with all vacation rentals in Yosemite West.
Please note that our house has stairs which may be difficult for elderly folks and small children. We have a vacation home in Yosemite West, the Hummingbird Pines House (VRBO 470093) is more suited to elderly guests as it has only 2 steps into the house and bedrooms on the ground floor.
Minimum stay of 2 nights.
There are two bedrooms, each with one queen size bed. A convertible sofa-bed in the living room sleeps 1 to 2 more guests. Note: we cannot accommodate more than 6 guests at a time.
This house is equipped with a full kitchen and a large dining table. There is a bbq and dining furniture on the deck, which is a wonderful place to enjoy dinner and watch the sunset.
The Hummingbird Pika House has air conditioning, as well as individual room fans.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Although a little dated, we had a lovely time staying at this property!! The location was perfect for the hiking, horse back riding, and swimming that we planned and the host was very communicative during our stay.
The only thing I would recommend is having some flashlights around the house (unless we just didn't see them). The whole area lost power our last night and we were at the mercy of our cell phone lights :) but were able to take advantage of their board game collection.
Thank you for having us!!
What a wonderful place to stay while visiting Yosemite! I HIGHLY recommend staying inside the park to avoid the crazy long entry lines each day. This place was perfect. And there are plenty of fun things to do nearby: Chilnualna Falls, the swinging bridge, Wawona History Center and more.
This is a lovely place to stay for a quiet visit to Yosemite. A drive to the valley but worth it as we could escape the crowds and really get away from it all. Good facilities. Handy local shop and delightful dark skies. Highly recommend for a family.
This place is even nicer than what the pictures show. Fresh wildflowers were placed around the house for an added beautiful touch. Everything we could possibly need for our comfort was available to us. Close proximity to many local attractions. We loved this place.
We were so happy to be in the park and not have to worry about the entrance lines daily. Did the hike to the waterfall close to the house. The meadow hike was very relaxing. Even played a round of golf.

relaxing
very comfortable. Kitchen has enough cooking materials
The house was amazing. Clean, well stocked.
Only downfall was all the stairs. My 84 year old mom had a problem navigating step in and out and to the bathroom.
Before we arrived, we bought groceries in Oakhurst. The Pine Tree Market and the general store in Wawona are more expensive, and they don't have a big selection. After spending time in Yosemite Valley, which is hectic, we enjoyed our time in Wawona hiking the Wawona Meadow Loop Trail and the Swinging Bridge Trail. The mule ride and the Mariposa Grove were highlights too. The rental had anything we needed in the kitchen. The washer and dryer were convenient. We took less clothes. The beds were satisfactory. I would recommend this rental. It is so convenient to stay in the park.
The house is nice and comfortable with excellent AC system, comfortable beds, enough space to gather 6 people, fully equipped kitchen. The location is great. It’s very peaceful, quite with a lot of possibilities for hiking and enjoying the nature.
The description of the house in listing is very accurate and it met our expectations.
The hosts provided us with helpful tips.
We will stay here again! Thank you!
Property is spacious with 2 bedrooms. Inside the park, so no long lines to enter the park each day, though it is about 45 minutes away from Yosemite Valley. Only issue was with the hot water (too hot and uncontrollable in master bath), which owner promised to address after being notified. Owner was responsive to all messages.
Google Maps worked well for us. The place was very clean. Check-in was pretty easy. Wonderful neighborhood. There is a small grocery store nearby that saved us a trip outside the park.
The only issue was that AC would not work, it got hot inside the property in the evening and at night. We just opened some windows and handled the heat.
This cabin is outstanding and in a wonderful location within Yosemite. We are a family of 5, with 3 grown up kids. The cabin was very well equipped and much bigger than it appears online. It has a fabulous wrap around deck that is wonderful for star gazing. VEry big spacious living room and attached kitchen. BAthrooms were fully stocked. The host was wonderful and replied to our email questions within a few hours. I cannot recommend this highly enough, just spectacular.
House was comfortable. Cleaning crew did not do best job.
Good location.
Walking distance to convenience store and less than 2 miles to gas station.
Lot of front steps, remember if you have large heavy suitcase.
Hosts are very nice to deal with and respond to questions or concerns quickly.
Would recommend this property over some others in area.
The cabin was cozy and spacious everything was perfect and the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Me and my family love staying at Wawona and this cabin has been our favorite one !
We had a great stay! The hosts were very helpful and provided great instructions. The house was large and very clean! It's a great location in the Yosemite park. We would stay here again.
So close to Wawona, the Pika house is full of 70’s charm. Spaciously nested just a minutes drive away from the Wawona hotel, we were struck by the high quality vintage decor, look and feel of the property. Would sure stay again, we loved it!!
The house was well stocked with pillows, bedding, towels, kitchenware. The host was very kind and responded immediately to all messages. The drive to Yosemite Valley was delightful. Great stay!
Michelle and Pete's place is the perfect place to get in and out of Yosemite. The listing is exactly as described and we had no problems finding it or getting in. The beds are comfortable and we had everything we needed for the stay. Would stay again for sure!
