Beautiful home in a winter wonderland
This place is spectacular! The host was so helpful and generous with his time giving us the inside scoop on Yosemite and even lending us his snow shoes. The property was beautiful - clean, very comfortable and well appointed. We would love to come visit again!

Amazing stay within Yosemite
This is the perfect getaway spot if you want a break from city life. Located within the gates of Yosemite National Park, you are in the middle of numerous spectacular attractions. Starting: We drove to this Vrbo through Wawona Rd. during the peak sunset time, and the views were breathtaking. In addition, Art ensured the space was meticulously cleaned. Everything was spotless. Finally, the design was spacious, industrial, and yet comforting. We had the best sleep here and woke up to incredible forest views. I would 100% recommend anyone interested in experiencing Yosemite to check out this place. We will be back in the future.

Perfect Balance for a Yosemite Trip
Brand new, modern, comfortable, high-end finishes set in a rustic, beautiful neighborhood tucked away from the chaos of the park, but just minutes from everything good about it. Art was a great host and the work he personally invested to make the place exactly what a vacation home should be is impossible to miss. Every detail is considered and well executed. I can’t say enough great things about how ideal this place is in all regards. Over and above all reasonable expectations one could have for a rental.

Amazing stay!!
Art's home is even more beautiful than the pictures. Everything is curated with so much detail and love. The space has so much light and the high ceilings make it extra special. The bed is super comfortable. It has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook. It also has a cute balcony where we had tea every morning and we even saw some deers. Art is a great host, responsive and kind, he lives next door and has the best recommendations of Yosemite. You are right inside the park so it alleviates part of the driving to the trailheads. Definitely would stay at Art's place over and over again!

Great location, wonderful host, perfect stay
Art is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to insure a pleasant stay. The location was great - just minutes to Glacier Point Rd, 20 minutes to the Valley, and 30 minutes or so to Wawona. We stayed 8 days at Art’s place and it had absolutely everything we needed. We highly recommend this spot as a base for your Yosemite adventures!

Is there a higher rating than perfect?
If there is, the entire experience deserves it. The residence was immaculate, perfectly and wonderfully comfortable. The location within the park is a 5-star-plus attraction. We enjoyed spending time with Art, our host, who also provided great ideas for hikes in the park.

Perfect place to stay for Yosemite NP
Art’s place was gorgeous, clean, and uncluttered. He was a great host and we appreciated his hiking recommendations and letting us use the washer and dryer during our stay. The cabin is about 20 minutes from Yosemite Valley or Mariposa Grove. We stocked up on groceries at the closest town about an hour away, but there is also a grocery store in Yosemite Valley for things you forgot (including OTC meds, ready-to-eat food, etc). The bed was more firm than I’d normally prefer, but we were so tired from all the hiking that it didn’t matter. I slept like a rock :) Art provides pillows of different firmness, hair dryer, coffee maker with lots of options of pods, satellite tv, and a lovely back porch (plus more). My husband said I outdid myself when I found Art’s place. We could not have chosen a better home base for our trip to Yosemite!

Beautiful architecture and decor. Photos are an accurate depiction of the property. Property cleanliness is impeccable. Art was available for assistance when needed. King bed is a memory foam mattress. Unit size and layout is perfect for a couple to share the space with a feeling of modern living surrounded by forest tranquility.

West is Best!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Art’s property. The property is well maintained and every detail was thoughtfully put together by Art to make people feel at home while they are away. The property is nestled amongst the trees and all we could hear were birds chirping and a babbling brook behind the neighborhood. The bed is very comfortable and firm. The kitchen is fully equipped with top of the line appliances and cookware. Art is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and more than happy to make recommendations for your stay. We loved the area and appreciated Art’s kindness.

Stylish property very close to Yosemite Valley
We loved staying in this property for our week in Yosemite! Art is a fantastic host, was very quick to answer all our questions, and even gave us great recommendations of places to visit while we were there. The home is very stylish - in particular we enjoyed the woodsy cabinets and tables, the locally made kitchenware, and the many large windows that make it feel like you're in the woods. The proximity to Yosemite Valley is also fantastic - it's only about a 30 minute drive to the Valley. And it's a beautiful drive, so if you're like us, you won't even mind having to make it every day. Overall this is a great property to stay at while visiting Yosemite - would certainly recommend.

Prior to our arrival to Art Haus Art's communication was excellent - in person he is a delight. The accommodations were as described. Keurig cups were provided but there is also a French press. With Art's direction we stopped at the Pioneer Market in Mariposa which is a gem and arrived with provisions for the week. Yosemite West is well located to experience most of the Park. We strongly suggest that you spend time at Art Haus.

Tremendous location and property. Very clean modern property set in the heart of Yosemite. We loved staying inside the park and within 10 minutes or so we were at the tunnel view every day. One drawback. Of you need to work at all online, it's not going to happen. This is definitely a place to get away from it all and disconnect from technology. Overall it is the perfect getaway for a couple.

What a great host!
This review is way over due but better late then never. We stayed here in October 2021. We felt like we were living in a tree house in the forrest. The place is perfect for two people who are visiting the park. It is immaculate and has everything you need. We arrived late in the evening because of bad weather (smoke from nearby fires) so we were unable to stop for food or groceries. Art offered a frozen pizza he had, but we declined because we had enough to get us through the night. In the morning there was a cooler on the porch with a dozen eggs and vegetables to make omelettes for breakfast and to use on our travels to the park if we needed it. Art was so helpful with suggestions for the day, he told us what parts of the park would be best to avoid the smoke. He was so very interesting to listen to and very passionate about the park and the area in which he lived. We knocked on his door (he lived right below the unit) every day with questions and he answered every one with excitement. I would highly recommend this property.

A Yosemite gem!
We arrived at night so we didn't get a full glimpse of the Yosemite West neighborhood or the other properties til the morning, but it is a great location tucked into the park. Art Haus is sunny during the day and dark and peaceful at night. We slept great each night, ready for our hiking adventures during the day. We'd return home by dark and relax and make dinner. The house is such a great sleek modern design without anything fussy but has everything we needed. I would stay there again and will definitely tell others about it. I liked the location as well, we only had to drive around 30 minutes to get to different hiking spots (maybe an hour on one of the days) but that is considering the roads that go in and out of the park which are very windy and require going slower at times. It's a gorgeous drive in the fall and we loved everything about our stay.

Great place to stay
The place was spotlessly clean. It even had a Pine Sol clean smell when you walked in. The layout & furniture was very comfortable & the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes/pots/glasses, etc. The location in West Yosemite is ideal. You are about 10 minutes from Glacier Point Road, so that part of the park is very convenient. (and, in our opinion, much more beautiful). You are about 35-40 minutes from Yosemite Valley. The road can be a bit tricky down & back, so not something you would want to do more than once (or twice). Definitely stock up on groceries before you come - restaurants are nonexistent. Also, internet is spotty in Yosemite. Art has a booster at his place for Verizon, but we have AT&T, so it was very fast at times & didn't work other times. This was a wonderful place to unwind after a full day of hiking. It's very peaceful and relaxing. The only issue we had was the mattress - it was a little too hard for us.

My husband and I had an amazing trip due in large part to the accommodations provided by Art at this property. The house was in the perfect location for all of the things we wanted to do during our stay in Yosemite. This property is inside of Yosemite Park and was within a half hour drive to all of the hikes and views we wanted to see. Art is very hospitable and friendly, and went out of his way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The house is perfect for two people. It is very clean and comfortable. Art gave personal recommendations for places to visit during our stay, which we really appreciated. The next time we travel to Yosemite, we will definitely be looking to stay at Art's place again!

Beautiful Yosemite Sanctuary
My now husband and I were looking for a fresh, modern home inside Yosemite to stay during the week of our wedding. We are so grateful to have found Art’s place. The windows let in the most beautiful natural light in the morning and evening, accompanied by a luscious view of the forest. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to step out onto the patio for our morning coffee to soak up the stillness, fresh air, and the occasional deer sighting. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics needed for cooking and the fridge held all the food and drinks we brought for our stay. The home also provides access to WiFi which was a plus! We also really appreciated Art’s unique touches in the home (mood lighting and touch-screen vanity mirror). We were able to enjoy all Yosemite had to offer in style. The home is located about 35-40 minutes from the valley and is also extremely close to the road that provides access to Glacier Point. It’s a wonderful location and more than we could have asked for. Lastly, we had a chance to speak with Art in person and he was so kind and friendly. You can tell that he thoroughly enjoys hosting his guests and sharing the wonder that is Yosemite.

Beautiful stay at this modern cabin
We had a wonderful time at this beautifully designed cabin. The location, which is only a short drive from the Yosemite Valley and right next to the Glacier Point road, was an ideal. Art’s work building this house and his attention to detail will leave you inspired. Sitting on the deck gave us a great view of the nature outside and the incredible night’s sky after dark. I would highly recommend this location for any couples looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway to explore Yosemite.

Cozy house and amazing host!
My husband and i came to Yosemite for Valentine’s Day/fire fall. We had stayed in this neighborhood before but didn’t realize how large it actually is. This cute little house is at the very end of the neighborhood. This is a brand new home with lots of work and love put into it. The whole vibe is so inviting! The windows are huge, with nothing but trees and forest, it feels so secluded like you’re the only ones around! The kitchen came fully stocked, the couch is super comfy, and we were able to watch ace ventura on the direct tv while drinking the complimentary wine that the host left for us! Last i want to mention the host. Art built this place himself. He was so attentive and we were lucky enough to meet him during our stay. The pamphlet he left on the counter gives a run down on the entire place. He is environmentally friendly, he gives recommendations on hiking, places to eat, and hidden gems (he’s a local so he knows). He went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Art is a great dude, and if you have a chance to meet him, I’m sure you’ll agree! We will definitely be back! Thanks art!!

Amazing house + experience. About 35 mins from Yosemite Valley. The house was immaculate, beautiful, and cozy. Definitely recommend staying here. The only thing to note is that the house has pretty minimal supplies (no shampoo/conditioner, olive oil, seasonings etc) so plan ahead!

Yosemite Bliss
Normally my husband and I stay at the Yosemite Lodge when visiting Yosemite, but because of the Coronavirus we opted for Art's lovely home. We used the kitchen exclusively for all of our meals. And after a restful sleep in the king size bed, we'd pack a lunch and sit by the River on the Valley floor, about a 15 minute drive for the day. The large flat screen tv and the comfortable leather couch is an added plus. Just enjoy

The Art House
Breathtaking. The amount of craftsmanship and vision that was put into this house is nothing short of amazing. If you need a place to stay in Yosemite, this is the one. Art is the most gracious and kind host, and probably one of the most interesting men in the world. Five Stars.

A Good Choice
We spent quite a lot of time on choosing where to stay on what was our first trip to Yosemite. Very glad we did. Art has made an excellent job on this property and was close at hand should we have had any queries or problems, which we didn’t. It’s an easy drive to Yosemite valley or Mariposa Grove, etc, so location is ideal. The property is perfect for two people,( the maximum capacity), and has all the amenities you need with Art telling us we could use the laundry room below us at his property. When driving into Yosemite Parkway it’s an idea to keep in mind that most junctions are a ‘keep to the right hand’ option as there are quite a few junctions, but we found it easy to get to the property even on the first attempt following my hand drawn map, so not difficult at all. The decor is clean and white with nice artwork and hand made fittings throughout, ( it’s a new property). You are located in a very nice forest environment with a few properties of varying sizes speckled around the area giving a natural setting. There are a few timber stairs,( 10 or so), leading down to the property from the car parking, easy access for most people,( we did notice some nearby properties had quite a few steps that would mean access could be limited for the less able). You could spend more time than the five days we stayed here and we hope to return maybe next year or so. Art was a very good host even down to the bottle of wine he so kindly left for us,( thanks for that Art, much appreciated). All in all I highly recommend this property to anyone thinking of booking. Perfect for us, hopefully the same for others.

The best part of our trip!
Its rare to find a newly built house that’s located inside the Yosemite National Park and only 30 min from the main attractions for such a great price. My girlfriend and I spent the weekend at Art’s beautiful home that he designed and built by himself. Getting the chance to stay here was one of our favorite parts of the trip. We plan on coming back and would make this our first choice for lodging. The house is very private with spectacular views of the woods. It’s spacious, modern, and very clean. We couldn’t have asked for a smoother check in/out process and a more gracious host than Art! Looking forward to our next stay.

This place was incredible! Art thought of every little detail when he was putting this place together. Truly a stunning view to wake up to! Windows surrounding the entire home, a modern kitchen packed with everything you may need, wood table accents to compliment the yosemite feel, and cool light fixtures on the ceiling, along with several other beautiful interior touches. We found it to be very cozy and perfect to come back to after a long cold day hiking yosemite! Everything was so clean and well thought out, including the gorgeous hand made clay plates. All of the appliances were brand new and there are plenty of spices and goodies for cooking, as well as fresh ground coffee with the option of a standard coffee machine or a french press. Super quiet and serene, the home is about 30 minutes from yosemite valley and the views along drive are breathtaking. We genuinely had zero complaints to give for this rental! Art was such a nice guy and always around if we needed anything and was incredibly welcoming. We will definitely be booking this place again in the future! 10/10

Art Haus is a wonderful gem tucked away in the Yosemite West development. Owner Art Cromier lovingly build this beautiful home himself, including the hand-crafted cabinetry and table. Art is a true craftsman, as well as a gracious host. The home is well equipped with everything you may need for a relaxing stay. The owner features the work of local artists in the home including the hand-crafted pottery dinnerware. This home provides plenty of storage for your belongings. Unobstructed views from the windows are spectacular, and the bedding extremely comfortable. The check-in process is a breeze and communication with the owner is excellent. We are looking forward to our next stay at Art House!

Exquisite in EVERY way...! Beyond our expectations.
Photos can't come close to describing the beauty of this home. The outside is a captivating, elegant, European design. The inside has incredibly high ceilings & large windows all around which make it light & scenic from every part of the house. The artistry of the custom designed furniture and woodwork throughout the home is stunning. You will love staying in this exceptionally beautiful home. The owner has thought of everything to make it a relaxing retreat for his guests. I can't wait to go back!
