Thanks Donna for such a thoughtful review. The lodge is set up beautifully for three couples to have a private space but to also share in all together. And the location, being inside the National Park, makes it so convenient to get around to all the must see sights without having to wait in those long entrance lines at the gates. I know you made such great memories with your family this past week.

Thank you for this great review. So glad you and your family enjoyed the lodge. Yes, it is convenient to have a place inside the gates of Yosemite National Park. And it is so close to most destinations here in the Park - only 20 to 25 minutes to get to the Valley, to Mariposa Grove and to the end of Glacier Point Road.

I am so sorry about your experience with the heat wave. I wish you had reached out during your stay as we do have air conditioning at the Peregrine lodge. There is a large unit in the grand room, a unit in the den off the kitchen and a separate unit in each of the three bedrooms on the first floor. In the past, we have not had to deal with heat this early in the year but this year the heat has hit us with such intensity. The instructions on running the air conditioning units are posted for the next guests.

Thank you so much for this review, Karen. This is such a great location inside the gates of YNP and for getting to all the wonderful hiking and touring opportunities of the Park. The WiFi situation is one that all of us in Yosemite West struggle with. Verizon just upgraded and offered an extender router that I just had installed this past week which seems to be helping with the “glitchiness” of the internet connectivity. The Elon Musk Sky Link is also coming soon and I’ve signed up to be on this service as soon as the satellites are in place. Hopefully this will solve so many of the issues surrounding being able to be online during your stay here at the lodge. The laundry situation is driven by the county of Mariposa and the water restrictions we are on due to the ongoing California drought. I generally do not have the washer/dryer available for guests with a 3-4 night stay. I have allowed the guests that stay 5 nights or longer, especially those traveling in from out of state, to have laundry access. Finally, the lodge is set up perfectly for family units or 3 couples. Having to occupy 7 different beds is challenging. We do have the capacity to sleep 8. Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own full bathroom. There are no bathrooms available on the main floor. Anyone sleeping in the “den” or in the “loft” with the pull-outs use one of the downstairs bathrooms. I can appreciate the frustration of having 7 women in this situation. There is ample room to cook, hang out in the grand room or the outside decks, but it is not ideal for the sharing of the bathrooms.
