It was a beautiful hour drive to the Yosemite valley, which i thought might be a bit too long but it was so nice to be away from the crowds in the valley. The fireplace is a joy even in Spring, yet there is also a heater to keep you warm. The deck is large and accommodating. One bedroom has a king bed, the other two queens. The sofa is not a pull out. The Master bed was comfortable and the pillows were perfect. We did not use the other bedroom. We rearranged the furniture to make it work better. The chairs faced the sofa and neither faced the fireplace or TV. Loved the fireplace and included firewood. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils and gadgets. However, there were no basic items like salt, pepper, oil, storage bags, etc… Other homes we have stayed in have included what was left behind by prior occupants. This one was stripped clean. Fortunately, we brought some of our own items. The cushions were removed from the patio furniture. We would have liked them for hanging out on the back deck. The fees were excessive but overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The community of Wawona was very nice. While not a surprise, it is about 1 hour and 15 minute drive from Yosemite Valley (park entrance is much closer). Two notes, 1) cabin does not have AC (it does not state that it does, but it gets extremely stuffy during the hot summer months). And 2) the beds were incredibly uncomfortable. You can feel every spring and coil in the king in the master bedroom. It made sleep near impossible. Upgrade the beds and it would be a huge improvement! ##### Leslie L.
