The apartment is located in The Rowntree Wharf development which is steeped in history and is considered to be York's finest industrial building. This astonoshing building was changed into flats and offices in 1989 and long before that was used as Rowntree and Cos Navigation Warehouse. Set in a quiet and tranquil riverside setting in the heart of the city of York, this cosy apartment is the perfect choice for a weekend escape to York. Heading into the historic building, you will be shocked to find extremely modern and stylish interior from the building entrance to the apartment door. Into the apartment you will see the studio is decorated to a extremely high standard with many original architectural features including exposed brickwork. Everything we needed was there, was a more than comfortable stay. Studios do not usually have full ovens and hobs but this did and a washing machine so that was a bonus. The fold up bed allowed the living space to be more spacious throughout the day time and was quick and simple pulling it down for the evening. The room is a studio room but more spacious than you expect as the bed can be folded into the wall, which I have not seen before!
