Rowntree Park, a 20-acre park by the River Ouse, is close by, and a short stroll leads to the medieval walls and the vibrant city centre with its world-famous attractions. Here you will find a wonderful mix of old and new with exquisite architecture, including the magnificent Minster and a maze of cobbled streets packed with independent shops as well traditional tea rooms, including the renowned Betty’s Tea room. Visit the Merchant Adventurer’s Hall, Clifford’s Tower and the Castle Museum, along with the galleries and theatres. There are numerous restaurants and a wide selection of pubs serving real ale close by. This is a little house, and a gem of a little house. Everything you need is there, and the accommodation has been very cleverly designed with the small space available (and the space is small). The house is stylish and we very much enjoyed our stay. Being on the celebrated Bishy Road is a big plus - there are lots of shops and restaurants just a few minutes' walk away - and it is an easy walk into the centre of town.
