"The staff treated me so well. Working with me even with a language barrier. After a few weeks of the Tokyo and Osaka life, that place was a slice of heaven, my only regret was not staying longer. The baths were nice, the place was super clean. Transportation to get there is a bit difficult, but that I think is what makes this place attractive, since it's in such a nice, quiet part of Japan. Going there during the Sakura season was amazing too. "

"I recommend Genjikoh for the amazing Japanese experience of enjoying the open bath overlooking the ocean and the various activities in the hotel such as the scent workshop. We booked a room for 5 and it was spacious and was pleasantly surprised it has 2 toilets. The sea view was breathtaking. We don’t book the meals as we don’t eat raw food but we had difficulty finding a good eatery outside as there are few amenities nearby and they close early. "LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!! Just a short 5 minute walk to the train station!! Area had good restaurants and little boutique shops, family mart right across the hotel and Don Quijote, huge grocery store, yummy bakery and Starbucks was right across the street. The only downfall was that nothing opened until 10am!! The room was small, but that was expected. The room I had reserved was for me only. I had a difficult time with their policy of not allowing my daughter to come up to the room with me to just relax for a bit and drop things off from our day of shopping and site seeing before going to dinner. She was not staying overnight any of the nights I was there. Otherwise, the stay was nice. "

"Great value for money! We stayed here for three nights - my husband and I in one room and our kids in another. The room with the single bed is very compact, so I'd suggest booking a room with two beds. But the rooms were very clean, modern and quiet. We stayed on the top floor and it was very quiet. The staff were lovely and it was a bonus to have the buffet breakfast included. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Yokkaichi. It's across from the train station and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. "
