"This is a wonderful property in a beautiful setting, hosted by truly thoughtful people. The house is bright, open, and airy, with lovely views that make it just as enjoyable to relax inside as it is to explore outdoors. Our stay was too short to enjoy everything, but we especially loved the sauna, the refreshing freshwater shower, and the classic Finnish experience of jumping straight into the lake. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, and even pantry staples for guests to use, which is an especially thoughtful touch in such a remote location (there is a gas station/market nearby but we never went).Kim and Jay provide a detailed but easy-to-follow guide to the home, amenities, and local attractions. Everything was simple to use, including the sauna, washer and dryer, grill, and Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout our stay, and the house was stocked with plenty of towels. Communication before, during, and after our stay was excellent, and check-in and check-out were seamless. As lovely as the home is, we spent most of our time outside exploring Voyageurs. If you do not bring a boat, we highly recommend renting one or taking a guided tour, since many of the park’s best experiences are on the water. Our favorite hike, Blind Ash Bay Trail, was just minutes from the home. This is an outstanding place to stay for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Voyageurs National Park. We would happily stay here again."
Spacious, comfortable 1 BR with FULL kitchen, large sitting rm, private bath
10/10 Excellent
"Great location and great space inside and out on the deck. We booked a boat trip with our host and that was also a great way to see the area. We are on a mission to see the national parks and this one is one of the most remote and incredibly beautiful! Thanks! We may be back!!!"
"The place was spacious, beautiful, and comfortable, inside and out. We only had a group of five, but even with eight the place would not have felt crowded. Everything was well stocked and clean. The kitchen was spectacular. It was so convenient to be able to access the park right from the dock with our boat. Having a dedicated outdoor area to filet the fish was appreciated. Highly recommend!"

"We (two adults and three kids) stayed there for a long weekend of fishing and relaxing. The place was great, exactly as described, a good dock for the boat, a nice deck and extremely peaceful. And communications with the host were really easy. We’ll definitely be back!"
