"The gym facilities do not open until 8a even though the sign clearly says 6a. This was mentioned to the staff at the front desk and they were surprised it said 6a."

"We stayed here for 6 nights in mid September. It was absolutely wonderful. The house was incredible, Well equipped, clean, and comfortable. As with all VRBO's we selected it based on pictures but nice as they were, they didn't do the property justice (nothing negative about the pictures but when we got there....WOW!) You need to see it to understand.The house had everything that we needed or wanted. Beautiful deck overlooking Rainy Lake. Nice grill. Very comfortable beds. Lots of living space. Well appointed kitchen, and much more. We brought our boat and launched it a couple of miles up the road at the park visitors center then tied it up at the dock for the week. Down the stairs, in the boat, and we were off.There are also convenient dining and drinking establishments accessible by water. Thunderbird lodge is 1/4 mile and it is a short trip up to Ranier and International falls (check out Looney's pub). Lots of hiking in the area and other things to do on Rainy lake. If you are a fisherman (I am but not on this trip) it looks wonderful.I would definitely return if I were vacationing in the area again.Thanks Steve and Laurie"

"Expect exactly what you see!!! This place is wonderful. Everything you need is within. Lakeview from the living room, kitchen window, dining room, and porch. The fire pit and dock views are even more magical. Five days was not enough. We could not have been happier."

"Beautiful house on Rainey Lake. Hanging on the deck with the fire pit was one of our top things to do while staying. Clean and modern. Very close to the National Park."

"The lakeside cottage was the perfect location for us to relax and enjoy the beauty of Northern Minnesota at the end of almost two weeks of travel around the state. This is a comfortable and clean place to stay with a huge picture window looking out at Rainy Lake and access to a dock, kayaks and Steve even offered to give us a boat tour! We had unfortunately already booked non-refundable activities so were unable to take him up on it. He was very helpful and informative about things to do in the area. We very much enjoyed the fire circle and the kitchen was well-stocked for our needs. This was close to Voyageurs National Park and there were a couple good restaurants fairly close, too. We very much enjoyed our stay!"
