Booking for ground floor but gave top floor room Key card didn’t work on several occasions Felt coerced into going on a boat ride when we first arrived (which was not quite to my taste) Strong smell of tobacco randomly in our room Staff in general quite helpful

It was the staff that made all the difference! Excellent service. Centrally located for most of the popular sights. Hotel's exterior may need a make over but rooms are cozy n has everything one needs. Great stay overall.

Since my first review was rejected, I’ll rewrite as simple as it gets. As a second stay at Richmond in Istanbul, i can clearly say the following: Staff are not friendly, if you ask for something as if they don’t like to help. Most important thing, I don’t know if I can trust this hotel again when my suitcase was gone missing from the reception safety!! The manager was the only helpful person who made sure we located our suitcase and got it back while taking us to the airport on his expense. Other than that, the hotel is nice, clean, perfect location with fine rooms.

I enjoyed my stay, I did observe however that the room was not as clean as I thought expected. The washroom door had visible splash marks on it. Room service is timely, however often the portions are incredibly small for what you’re paying. Breakfast had a great variety, and there’s a restaurant and coffee shop in the actual hotel. There’s also many coffee and food places near the hotel like within a 10 minute walk. Staff were very friendly and hospitable, make sure all your needs are met. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was great as well.

Louis appartement is well located in the nice area of Galata right by the tower. It’s nice and clean, the whole hotel and the rooms are very enjoyable and the lobby / reception very welcoming. I would give 6 stars to the staff if I could. We were welcomed on our first night with traditional tea and coffee and a lot of tips to visit. The team gave me so many advices and suggestion for food this helped me a lot I didn’t have to worry about it. Ezgi, Simay and Oğuljan were very kind and every single restaurants they suggested were excellent especially Guney and Il Cortile. Tufan the owner was very helpful as well. I have travelled to many cities and this was by far one of the best hotel staff. Definitely recommend it !
