Rooms are basic, but you have what you need. The restaurant in the inn was also great! The grab and go could be better.
Wish they had some things for kids!
The property is certainly worth seeing in regards to history and the architecture but the rooms are tired and need renovation. It is great because you walk out the door and Old Faithful is right there.

Location, location, location. If you are looking for a great location to start your Yellowstone adventure with this is great spot with a great history that’s fun. Don’t expect too much as far as amenities, food or services.
Going in October is a beautiful time to visit if you are looking to avoid the crowds but it is a trade off. The hotel and employees were wonderful but the food was not. At end of season everything seemed to be running out including coffee in the rooms.
The suite is beautiful offering snacks and soft drinks at no charge. People and property were amazing.
Highly recommend the Inn!!!
Just be ware that there are shared bathrooms on each floor. But well worth the stay. The place is incredible. You just feel like you are part of something grand. The service and food was great too.
Convenient Location, Clean Public Spaces, Clean Welcoming Lobby, Grand Property. Room looked Unclean,
There was no heat/AC working. Not sure if it was mentioned in the listing that AC is not available. However heat also was not working.

A fun unique stay inside a national park. It enables you to spend more time exploring the geothermal features and beautiful surroundings while less crowded in the evening and early morning.
Great location. We used it as a base while in Yellowstone. Lots to explore and learn while there. Patience was needed while finding parking but during peak season that’s to be expected. A hotel that reflects the rich history of Yellowstone.
First and foremost, the staff is phenomenal! The front desk was so helpful which is remarkable given how busy they were. We stayed on the last two nights of the season, but the staff was still just as dedicated to making us feel at home. The room in the west wing was small, but it was very clean and well were barely in it. We really liked the kettle and coffee setup. The pour over coffee was some of the best we've had in a room! The shower was decorated with cute animal tiles. The door didn't shut properly, but it did lock. The hotel itself is historic and beautifully rustic. I enjoyed sitting out on the viewing deck, sipping coffee, and watching Old Faithful and the other geysers. It's definitely an experience I feel you should do at least once!
Staff was very helpful and bed was very comfortable. Location can not be better.

We had one of the “newer”rooms in the lodge. Very small room and tiny bathroom, shower didnt work well. Uncomfortable bed. Noisy halls. Check in was a mess. Carpets seemed dirty. Terrible room for price. No housekeeping service for 3 nights. No internet. The lobby of historic lodge is grand and beautiful! Great location next to Geysers. Very kind young people working there. Problem with charges on bill after check out. Keep your expectations very low for the room.
Great location next to Old Faithful. Unique architecture. Grand building!

I guess it depends on what you expect. It’s an old historic hotel. But for the price, you really should expect better.
In this day and age I would expect wifi. The mammoth springs hotel had some.
The main issue I had was it was too hot in the room so had to open the window and the fly screen wasn’t great. I turned the heating off but the radiator still pumped out heat. I managed in the end.
So overall not somewhere I would want to spend more than one night.
Stunning location though.
Great place to kick your boots and enjoy this historic inn. Old Faithful IS right there and the inn is very close to neighboring pools and geysers. Not alot to do in the evening so bring a card game and embrace the down time.
Unique place to stay but pricey. Beautiful surroundings. Was worth staying there one night but will stay outside the park on future trips. Rich in history and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
A definite must stay if you appreciate the history of this wonderful National Park. If you're more concerned with modern amenities such as wifi, tv, and air-conditioning this might not be the place for you, but if you want to be awed by the beauty of log cabin architecture and history this is the place.
We loved this beautiful Inn! The property is like stepping back in time - amazing 4 story open lobby area with timber and stone everywhere. Lots of places to eat and nice gift shops all on the property. Old Faithful is just steps out the door, and there are beautiful walking and hiking paths all around to see the many geysers and hot spring pools. All the staff were very friendly and helpful also. Would definitely recommend!

The Old Faithful Inn is a perfect place to stay while touring Yellowstone. Just ensure you don’t stay in the older part of the hotel like my friend and I did. It wasn’t good. The room was old, small, uninviting and honestly the hallways and exposed pipes were creepy.
The rest of the grounds were wonderful. The staff was amazing. The restaurant was good, Our server was very friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed the coffee shop and gift shop inside the Inn. This hotel is a perfect location to view Old Faithful as many times as you’d like.
If I could go back, I would stay in the newer part of the hotel. Now I know for next time!
Everything was great except no Wifi and/or Tv options and since it was pretty cold when we were there, not as many outside options to do so were forced inside. Staff was Great!!
