Casa Gratitud sits at the point in Yelapa, on the hillside above the bay. Yelapa has no road in, so you arrive by water taxi or private boat to the pier beside Café Bahia, where the hosting family meets you and helps with bags. From the pier, walk about 10 minutes along the beach, then climb private stairs for several minutes to the villa. There's no step-free route. Please note, the home is not ideal for very small children as the walk along the beach, while beautiful, is not level.

There is no need for Air Conditioning...While Yelapa can be warm at times, Casa Gratitud is specially designed for natural ventilation, elevated up the mountain, and enjoys a constant ocean breeze, which keeps it very cool. The villa has no private pool. Guests can use the community pool at the beachfront resort at the bottom of our hill for a small fee.

Rules & Policies:

-You MUST provide an accurate guest booking count.

-No more than 8 guests can stay at this home.

-Smoking is fine outside the house, not inside.

-NO cigarette butts should be found outside of home anywhere on the homes property accept inside the garbage can... $500 smoking fee if cigarette butts found on the property.

-Events and visitors are welcome.

-Must be 25 years old to book the property.

-Lock and secure the property when going out.

-Maintain Cleanliness: Please treat this home as if it were yours and leave the property as you found it. If the property is left exceptionally dirty, such as perishable foods left in the kitchen, dirty dishes in the sink, furniture rearranged, or trash not taken care of, there will be an extra fee of up to $250.

-Late checkout: Unauthorized late checkouts will result in additional fees, depending on the time of checkout. We clearly communicate our 10am checkout and our housekeepers schedule cannot be changed without penalty to us. If you fail to checkout by 10am, unless otherwise agreed, you will be charged the full nightly rate for the property. Staying past agreed checkout time is considered trespassing.

-If more than one dog is brought onto the property you will be charged with a $500 fine.....There are outdoor security cameras on the property. STRICTLY ENFORCED!!!

-You MUST clean up after your dog and put the dog poo in the garbage can.

-When your dog is unattended he/she MUST be inside of a crate. You are responsible for all damage/dog urine damage inside of home.
